Flames

our flames spread over the sky

swallowing the land with unsated maws

drinking the passion from the open veins

All these gentlemen were drawn as part of the Gondolin Gang series for intea (my deep gratitude for this opportunity and inspiration ♥). Of course I will draw the remaining two, but now I want to show the finished ones 😃

I tried to draw different but stylistically similar and simple outfits, hairstyles and faces, so that one could believe that they live at the same time and in the same place, being in an everyday (medieval) environment - most of them had small bags for small things and clothes whose fit is regulated by a belt and not by patterns.

Egalmot got the most complex background - there's a cat there, did you see it? 🐈

We can share our pieces drawn for the Dragon Age Annual calendar now, so here's mine! It's the back cover and went through several changes. I'd originally planned to have the front and back fit together and mirror each other, but in the end I liked how both pictures worked out.

So happy I got to be a part of the project :'D

I. Wherever she went, she scattered tiny lights on her path, small suns, burning stars to which I gravitated like a lost planet, a piece of cosmic void, hungry to swallow their shine.

II. We committed beautiful crimes - like gods of the night, hiding in the darkness, bold thieves of the fire - I brought her the forest heart and we drank from it, feeding on life.

III. I am her wild forest god, made to love her flame, made to drown in her fire. She is my spring goddess allowing the winter to sprout green in the dark soil of my soul.

IV. We heal. We both do. Slowly approaching the beating spine, craving for the marrow of happiness, loving every drop of its luminous flesh.

V. I was created to be your dusk. Lean on me as we grow black wings and dive into the storm.
