Carol was glad to have her friend back. It made events like this more exciting, plus there was just something about having more female friends who were super. “Not all of us get to be princess of a super cool island. The rest of us just have to fight over what’s left.” She teased. Carol might have been space royalty on some planet she saved, but that was irrelevant. “You know, if you had wanted to take me on a date, you could have just asked. Ice cream sounds good though, it is pretty hot out.”
Diana offers a smile and playful roll of her eyes at Carol’s words. “Please, Ms. Danvers, if this were a date I can assure you it would not take place at a street festival. As lovely as this all is, it isn’t up to par with a woman as lovely as yourself.” Her words end with a cock of her brow before Diana is leading the blonde forward and toward one of the many vendored stands that were selling ice cream. After ordering herself a classic vanilla soft serve cone, she gestures toward Carol. “And anything she wants.”

Carol may have been pulling on Diana’s arm a little too hard, but it was completely valid. If you couldn’t drag your friend to a booth to see a sweet t-shirt with her on it, what was the point? “You know, no one ever puts my logo on a t-shirt. Granted I haven’t been the most active of heroes, but I think it would look great. Sure, you have a sword and all, and that looks the best on a shirt, but my hands glow and that’s pretty neat.” Carol had already bought one of everything from the seller, wanting to both support the artist and her friend. She was so going to wear the shirt every time she saw diana from here out.
Diana can’t help the smile that forms to her feature as her friend is tugging her through the crowded streets, going on about some merchandise with Diana’s face on it. It isn’t something she’s used to seeing, though she’s aware things like this exist. She owns her fair share of Batman and Superman merch, that’s for sure. “I think it’s very neat. Perhaps they’ll draw up some designs to represent you, Captain Sparklefists.” The Amazon sports an ear-to-ear smile at the blonde. “And when they do, I’ll make sure to buy one. But until then - let me buy you something to eat. What looks good?”

Balm
Balm - How easily does your muse socialize with others? How good are they at their social interactions?
Diana’s actually really great at socializing. She finds learning about and meeting new people from all walks of life very edifying. I feel like Diana is the hit at any gathering because she’s been around for soooo long, she can recall so much and share her firsthand experiences about things others may be curious about. My girl is 5,000 whole ass years old. She’s got some stories to tell.
i doodled this a while ago and decided to color it! (also don’t ask why all of the robins are there in kid form just roll with it)

Wanda was going to bend down and try to help with the papers, but she would have felt even worse if she managed to ruin them. “No no, you looked like you had a good hold on them before I tripped.” It was New York, Wanda should have been paying far better attention. She could have ran right into someone who was going to know who she was, and arrest her. “I’m fine, are you? I really hope the coffee didn’t burn you.” Taking a quick peek at the documents, she saw the dates on them, clearly this woman was looking into the incident. She seemed like she was an intelligent lady, maybe someone who could even solve this issue. “Interested in the incident? Trying to find a cure, or do you think it’s a cure?” She probably shouldn’t have brought it up, but from everything the news was saying it seemed like everyone was against finding a cure.
She offers the other a slight shake of her head at her question before standing to her feet. “No worries, I assure you. I’m sure it happens daily in this city.” Diana had always liked Gotham - there was something about its darkness that drew the Amazon there even for reasons other than work. But New York was like several Gothams in one, all at a much faster pace and if she’s honest, it’s a bit overwhelming. Her nose scrunches slightly when the other mentions the incident, hopefully not drawing any unwanted attention to herself for the newspapers she’d piled in her arms. “Interested is one way to put it.” She says lightheartedly, brushing off the severity of the situation with a slight shrug. “Looking for answers, really.” And she learned that from Bruce. He’d always been the one to learn a situation from all sides, using the information to better decide how to deal with it. And though Diana is much more likely to jump head first into a situation, she’s come to learn that they could benefit from a little bit of research. “You wouldn’t, by chance, know anything these papers aren’t telling me? It’s almost as though they’re holding back... like there’s more to the story than what is in print.” She already finds her own inquiry ridiculous, a shake of her head to follow. “I know the answer is probably no, but at this point, I’m desperate.”

Rooftops were more Batman’s thing, but she could see the appeal. It was quiet, the view was nice and she could sit up here for hours without anyone bothering her. Her dark black suit sparkled slightly against the street lights below, emulating the stars in the sky above her. She was stretched out on the edge, her legs folded over themselves while she gazed out at all the people down below. It was strange that the ebb and flow of every day life still continued in the face of such chaos looming over their heads. Granted, she had tried to go to work and save the day as if nothing was different, but she felt it. The shift in the air, the pressure from the sky. It was a stranger, hollow feeling that she couldn’t put her finger on. She sighed and pulled herself to a standing position, walking along the edge of the rooftop with her arms spread wide. She walked along it, teetering back and forth as if she were walking a tight rope. As if she could fall at any moment. She heard them before she saw them in her peripheral, but made no move to stop her small stroll. "Is every rooftop spoken for or something?” She said out loud, twirling on the ball of her foot to start walking the other way. “It’d make sense, all things considered. I’m not really the “loom on the edge of scaffolds and dark corners” kind of girl.”
Diana had this inexplicable intuition when it came to Donna and Cassie. It was as though they’d been carved out from the same material, giving them a closeness that linked in more ways than one. She felt the difference in the air, too. She was hyper aware of the change, and despite her best efforts not to show her worry, Diana isn’t too sure how much longer she could keep up the facade. Arms lift to cross over her chest, a light bit of laughter leaving her at the other’s words. “Didn’t they teach you that back at Titan’s Tower? Bruce gets it Monday through Wednesday, I’m Thursday and Friday, and it’s Clark’s every weekend. I could have a schedule printed if you wish to see one.” There’s a teasing tone to Diana’s voice, being around Donna already making the tension in her shoulders relax the slightest bit. “You may be draped in darkness, but you are anything but.” A warm smile graces the Amazon’s features as she takes a few steady steps forward. “What brings you here?”

Wanda kept her head low, trying to blend in with the natives. This wasn’t her first time in New York, but it was her first time as a wanted criminal. She was lucky in the fact she was not as prominent as the other Avengers, or it was highly likely she would have been caught. She didn’t know who to try and find, more just hoping the others would show up publicly and lead her back. She had no clue what would happen if she tried to go to the compound, didn’t know the animosity level between her and Tony. She could have gone out to Clint’s farm, but she didn’t want to risk it. For now, she was just trying to navigate through the streets, getting back to the apartment she had managed to find. She was so busy trying to stay hidden she didn’t realize she completely ran into another person “I’m so sorry, let me clean that up for you.” She covered her voice with an American accent, and kept her head down as she tried to wipe the coffee off their shirt.
Diana couldn’t even begin to count the hours she’s already spent searching through every printed press coverage on the event that occurred February first. This research brought her into the city often, dated papers tucked under her arm as she tries her best to juggle a cup of coffee - she’ll be needing it. As the other frame collides with her own, a hand lifts to secure that the other doesn’t lose balance considering Diana’s strength. Immediately, she begins to shake her head. “No, no, it’s alright. I should’ve been watching where I was going... and perhaps not juggling a million and one different things.” She tosses the now empty coffee into a nearby trash can, thankful that she’d gone with a head-to-toe black outfit, otherwise the stain would’ve been an unwanted addition to her wardrobe. “Are you alright?” The Amazon asks this from the ground as she’s attempting to pile together all the newspapers she’d dropped.
