Cassius is the son the a centurion (Titus/Tex) and was born into the Legion. He was sheltered from some of the harsher realities of the Legion as a kid due to his dad’s position. Eventually Titus decided Cassius needed to toughen up (by bleeding a Brahmin)

Ignatius was the son of merchants whose caravan was raided by the Legion. His parents were killed in the attack and Ignatius was assimilated into the Legion. Vulpes ends up taking him under his wing like Caesar had done for him.

I'll have to work on this more later, but I had the motivation to draw a Spencer timeline.

It sure would be a shame if he was a complete pacifist. Nothing could possibly go wrong there. Definitely doesn't end up killing for my friend's courier (whom he's NOT totally in love with). That would really suck for him.
