Bridgerton | 4.08 - "Dance in the Country"
Éowyn, disguised as Dernhelm, among the Riders of Rohan ⚔️
Based on Eugéne Grasset’s “Jeanne chevauchant au milieu des hommes d’armes” (1894)
Much as I adore hippos, this is undeniably just. (via @persian-slipper)

Somethin' I'm Good At - Alec Hardison
Watch it on Youtube
Oh my gosh it's finally done!! I've been obsessing over this video for a few days now and ahhh I'm so excited that it's finished and I can share it with people!!
And of course I know Hardison is insanely competent at anything and everything, but this song just fit his personality so perfectly, I had to make the video! No insult towards him, just a fun and silly video that I can't stop dancing along with. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Baby Annihilation
„Baby annihilation? That's the title you're going with?“ - Andy asks. „Huh?“ Pete looks up from where she is sitting on her and Pat's couch and Andy sits beside her. „Why baby?“ they ask. Pete answers, „You know, like little, like little Baby Yoda, little baby problems, a little annihilation, a baby annihilation.“ „Aha.“ Pete looks down on her sheet of paper. She started collecting bits and pieces for the upcoming press and then soon, if not soon enough, the concert tour after. Things she wants to talk about, things she hopes they get a chance to talk about besides her favorite designers or her imaginary feud with Taylor Swift. Andy is silent beside her but then they shift and continue, “You know, baby annihilation, I don't know, that is not what I hear, I mean 'little'.” There is a pause. “Jo asked about us having a, you know, baby, the other day.”
Andy chuckles. Pete looks at them with big eyes. Andy watches her and isn't sure what they see. Pete's eyes flitter to the picture frames in the book shelves on the opposite wall. Bronte in all their different stages of height and ages. Pat with Miles on her arm, when he was still a tiny baby. “I tried to get the baby out of me, the child that I was. Until I realized it wasn't me, it was her that wished her baby wasn't what it was. I believe she knew it all along. That she didn't want me. Not really. You know?”
Pete looks at them “What do you want?” Andy takes a deep breath. “I want Jo to be happy. But I also want to be sure having children is really what Jo wants.” Pete grins sadly. “Yeah, I know.” “But to doubt Jo's wishes, you know, that is such an asshole move. I just don't know sometimes. How did you know?” “Me?” Pete looks at them with a wry smile on her face. “Well, you know, the times I could stand myself I was really, like, curious about that new person, and I didn't have to make the initial decision.”
Now it is Andy's turn to look at the pictures, one of them shows Bronte, only five years old, behind Andy's drum kit. “Right, I remember. We lucked out.” “Yeah, we did.” Pete is fully smiling now. “Just ask her. Jo is the last person to do something she doesn't want to do. But ask her. Maybe they got to her. Maybe she needs a bit of 'baby annihilation'.” Andy lets out a surprised laugh and looks at Pete who is grinning back at them. “But the title stays. If for all the people out there who need a bit of baby annihilation, too.”

Running Sound For Fall Out Boy 30.03.2024
In this exciting episode, we have the privilege of sitting down with Chad Olech, the talented sound engineer behind the electrifying performances of Fall Out Boy on tour.
if you are not too much interested in technical stuff there is still a neat tidbit of information about the eight ball songs and then Patrick’s voice after about minute 13, and a close up look of Andy's drum kit after minute 22
Hi : ) I watched the smfs vid and have two pop culture reference questions: Lil Nas X - Old Town Road (Official Video) ft. Billy Ray Cyrus - is it only because I watched this clip the first time recently, that I see a direct connection and the new fob vid references more a prevalent style? It queered the fob vid even more for me.
And are the golden shoes a Michael Jackson reference or is that also a broader or other reference?
And those clothes are amazing. the tenderness and vulnerability of the movements.
hope you're well! Ingwer
somehow i missed this genius and brilliant parallel! i see the same connection that you go and i want to see some side-by-sides on this website STAT. i think there's something to be said in here about beyonce's latest, race in the united states and optics and conservatism and the queered heart of country music and the true american west story of vaqueros the bloody history of the people who have taken up cowboy iconography as their identity......... there is a lot to say here, someone with an attention span please write an essay
the gold shoes as MJ make sense to me! they also tie to elvis for me, especially with the hip-wriggles slow-mo'd as a requirement of the performance he'd signed up for aspect of smfs video.
TENDERNESS & VULNERABILITY is my new anthem (maybe my permanent anthem?) and i remain obsessed with this video. thank you so much for your laser insights! i hunger for a western fic, and need to listen to a few hours of orville peck now. the long proud legacy of gay & poc cowboys is ringing in my ears.
be well, darling!
