Harry and Ginny with a toddler James and newborn Albus.
So sorry itâs been so long since I last posted a drawing
Ginny helping Hermione get ready for the Yule Ball. And comforting Hermione after she was basically ditched by her two best friends during it. And instead of Hermione storming off crying to be alone in her dorm, the two of them ditch the ball and just go outside to breathe and be together. And Hermione for once isn't reluctant to accept the comfort. Ugh
my emotional attachment to redheaded main characters should be studied
Those who say Ron was against Harry and Ginny's relationship clearly haven't read the fifth book.
He was totally one of us đđ»
Oneshot Hinny
Harry Potter always thought happiness came with noise. Explosions. Screams. Victories. The feeling that the ground had to shake beneath his feet for something to be worthwhile.
For years, that's how his world worked: extremes, urgency, destiny. Peace had never been something he knew how to recognize. Peace was too quiet. And quiet, to him, had always meant danger.
Until Ginny Weasley.
It was on an ordinary morning that he realized it.
Nothing epic.
Nothing grand.
Just the Burrow's kitchen lit by the sun, the smell of coffee in the air, and Ginny sitting at the table with a mug in her hands, her red hair tied up haphazardly, wearing one of his shirts that was too big for her shoulders.
She was reading a Muggle newspaper, smiling to herself.
Harry stopped at the door, watched, and felt it. Not the kind of feeling that came with adrenaline, nor the kind that came with fear. It was different. Quiet. Warm. Stable.
Peace.
So close it seemed absurd.
So simple he was suspicious.
"What is it?" she asked without looking up, sensing his presence.
"Nothing."
"Liar."
He approached slowly.
"Just... you."
Ginny looked up, amused.
"Me?"
"Yeah."
She closed the newspaper and tilted her head.
"Explain."
Harry took a moment, as if translating a feeling too new for human language.
"I always thought that to be happy, something huge had to happen. Like... the world stopping. Or exploding. Or saving someone.
She remained silent, listening.
"But no," he continued. "Sometimes it's just... this."
He pointed lightly at the table.
At the sun.
At the mug.
At her.
Ginny smiled slightly.
"The nonsense of routine."
"Yeah," he said. "And it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
She didn't respond with words.
She just reached across the table and touched his hand.
Simple.
No ceremony.
No promise.
No request.
And that's what moved him the most.
Ginny never demanded anything. She never asked for declarations. She never asked for guarantees. She was just there, whole, present, calm, as if loving was something natural, not a test, not a battle.
So different from him.
So far from the chaos he had always thought was normal.
She leaned in a little, bringing her face closer to his, and said softly:
"I love you."
No suspense.
No preparation.
Without fear.
Just truth.
Harry felt his heart drop into his chest like a heavy thing... and a good thing. As if it had finally landed after years of flying aimlessly.
He took a deep breath.
"I love you too."
He said it simply.
No speech.
No metaphor.
No heroism.
And it had never sounded so beautiful.
The silence that followed was not empty. It was full. Full of calm, certainty, presence.
Ginny rested her forehead against his.
"You don't have to promise anything."
"I know."
"Or know the future."
"I know."
"Or be sure of anything."
Harry smiled slightly.
"I'm only sure of one thing."
"What?"
He touched his nose to hers.
"That I want to be with you."
She closed her eyes.
"That's all?"
"That's all."
Ginny smiled slowly, truly.
"Then that's fine."
Outside, the world remained the same, prophecies still existed, dangers could still arise, and life could still change suddenly.
But Harry realized something he had never understood before:
Love was not thunder.
It was a place.
And he was in it.
He intertwined his fingers with hers, feeling her warm, real, present skin. He didn't know what would come next. Surprises, delays, misunderstandings, and risks.
But his will had chosen a path.
And that path was Ginny.
I'm writing a Hinny fanfic, if anyone likes the couple, I invite you to read it. I'll post the chapters every Sunday, I hope you enjoy it and happy reading. Xoxo
Between Love and Pride
Chapter 1 â Silences Between Us
Summary: After years together, Harry and Ginny Potter see their marriage fall apart amid jealousy, accumulated hurt, and a routine that has left no room for love to breathe. Harry leaves home on impulse, changing everything, and Ginny decides she will not allow a "come and go" situation in her life.
What to do when love still exists, but living together has become a war?
It took her three tries to catch him alone.
The fourth time, Ginny didnât call out. She just stepped in front of him.
Dean stopped short.
For a second, neither of them spoke.
Then he sighed, already done with it. âMove.â
âNo.â
âIâm not doing this, Ginny.â
âYeah,â she said, folding her arms. âYouâve made that very clear. Youâll talk to everyone else. Just not me.â
Deanâs jaw tightened. âI donât have anything to say to you.â
âThatâs not true.â
âIt is.â
She didnât move.
A few students passed behind them, glancing over, sensing something off.
Ginny lowered her voice. âJust say it then. Whatever it is. And Iâll leave you alone.â
Dean looked at her properly now.
âYou really donât get it, do you?â
âThen explain it.â
He let out a short breath, like heâd been holding it in for weeks.
âYou were unnecessarily harsh,â he said. Just like that. No build-up.
Ginny blinked. âWhat?â
âYou heard me.â
âThatâs what this is about?â she scoffed. âOne argumentââ
âIt wasnât one argument,â Dean cut in. âIt was all of it.â
She opened her mouth, but he didnât stop.
âEverything was a dig with you. Everything was a jokeâat someoneâs expense. Usually mine.â
âThatâs notââ
âIt is,â he said, sharper now. âAnd you donât even realise when you do it.â
Ginnyâs expression hardened. âI wasnât the only one jokingââ
âNo,â Dean said. âBut you were the one who didnât know when to stop.â
She looked away for half a second, then back. âIf I was so terrible, why didnât you say anything then?â
âI tried,â he said. âYou laughed it off.â
Silence.
âYou were always trying to prove something,â he went on, quieter but more cutting. âLike you had to be the sharpest person in the room. The funniest. The one no one could mess with.â
âThatâs not a crime.â
âNo,â Dean said. âBut you were doing it to people who already got you.â
She frowned slightly.
âI knew you,â he said. âBefore all that. Before you started acting likeââ he stopped, then finished it anyway, ââlike you had something to prove to everyone.â
Ginny didnât interrupt this time.
âAnd instead of aiming that at people who actually deserved it,â he added, âyou took it out on the ones who didnât.â
Her voice was quieter now. âThatâs not fair.â
âIt is,â he said simply. âBecause I was there.â
Another silence.
âAnd then thereâs him.â
Ginny tensed. âDonâtââ
âNo, I will,â Dean said, for the first time sounding properly angry. âBecause thatâs the worst part.â
She stared at him.
âYou treated me like I was an inconvenience half the time,â he said. âLike I was just⊠there. Something you had to deal with.â
âThatâs not true.â
âAnd the second he looks at you,â Dean continued, ignoring her, âeverything changes.â
âThatâs not what happenedââ
âYou suddenly know how to be careful,â he said. âHow to not snap. How to not tear someone down every five minutes.â
Ginny went still.
âYou think I didnât notice?â he added. âThe difference?â
Her voice came out tighter. âI didnât âsuck upâ to himââ
âYou did,â Dean said flatly. âMaybe not in your head. But from where I was standing? Yeah.â
âThatâsââ
âAnd then you dump me,â he went on, âand jump straight to him.â
That one landed hard.
Ginny didnât speak for a second.
ââŠIt wasnât like that,â she said, but there was less certainty now.
Dean laughed under his breath. âCourse it wasnât.â
âI didnât plan it,â she said. âWith Harry. I didnâtââ
âDoesnât matter,â Dean cut in. âThatâs how it felt.â
That stopped her.
The anger in his voice had shiftedâless sharp, more⊠honest.
âYou couldâve just ended it properly,â he said. âWithout all the⊠rubbish before it.â
Ginny swallowed.
âI know.â
Dean looked at her, like he was checking if she actually meant that.
âI wasâŠâ she started, then stopped.
For once, she didnât jump to defend herself.
âI was rude,â she said finally. âA lot of the time.â
He didnât react.
âI was frustrated,â she went on. âAbout things that had nothing to do with you. And I took it out on you anyway.â
Still nothing.
Ginny forced herself to keep going. âAnd yeah I was⊠harsh. More than I shouldâve been.â
Deanâs expression shifted slightly. Not soft but less closed.
âAnd I shouldâve ended things properly,â she added. âBefore anything happened with Harry. Thatâs on me.â
A pause.
ââŠAnd Iâm sorry,â she said. âProperly. Not just to get you to stop ignoring me.â
The corridor felt quieter somehow.
Dean studied her for a long second.
âYou were kind of a bitch,â he said, not cruellyâjust⊠plainly.
Ginny let out a breath. âYeah. I know.â
Another pause.
âI didnât deserve that,â he added.
âNo,â she said. âYou didnât.â
That, more than anything, seemed to settle something.
Dean looked away briefly, then back.
ââŠAlright,â he said.
It wasnât forgiveness. Not fully.
But it wasnât nothing.
âIâm not going to pretend Iâm fine with it,â he added.
âI wouldnât expect you to.â
Another beat.
ââŠYou happy?â he asked, after a moment.
Ginny hesitated.
Then, honestly, âYeah.â
Dean nodded once.
âGood.â
He stepped past her this time, but not like he was avoiding her.
More like he was done carrying it.
Ginny stayed where she was for a moment, staring ahead.
No comeback. No sharp remark.
Just⊠quieter than usual.
And maybe, for onceâthinking before speaking.
Ok this is a aggressive rant
Mfs who ships two people who see themselves as siblings during arguing about basic reading and thinking : " how on earth you can say that? It's not given in bOoKS"
It's not given in books? That's so rich coming from you.
Just shut the fuck up and agree that you are butthurt over the canon ships.
the fact that itâs literally canon that harry had sex dreams about ginny and was so devoutly thankful that ron couldnât perform legilmency because he wouldâve been absolutely mortified like that is so freaking funny
Hinnyweek: anniversary of Hinny's first kiss
Propoganda I'm not falling for:
â HP women being hated and bashed by misogynistic fans everywhere.
â Ginny being called ugly or fat or a slag or a love potioning criminal just because Harry ended up with her and not the ferret or his best friend, who he himself identifies as a sister.
â Hermione being called a Ron-obsessed crybaby just because she dared to cry when she was sad and was emotionally mature.
â Lily Potter's identity being erased just so that people can push their Death Eater/James Potter ships when he died for her.
â Molly being bashed as the money hungry, manipulative woman when she took Harry as her own, even though she had little to share.
â Tonks being called ugly or temperamental or incompetent when she dared to love a man who didn't love himself.
â Fanon Draco Malfoy.
â Any form of Weasley bashing.
â Tom Riddle being shipped with ANYONE.

I need to re read the books!
To get away from the alternative harry potter world where draco is a hero and barty crouch a poor innocent lad.
Oh save me Auror Potter save me đ
Two things you can be sure of is that Ginny's sweater once belonged to Fred (or George, I can't tell them apart) and she stole Charlie's bag. And yes, she has a "Potter' stinks" bottom (she tells everyone she has it because it's true lol, and it always makes Harry blush and she can burst out laughing). Luna made Ginny's necklace. Oh, and the person who took this picture was Harry.
The reason why I think Harry thought of Ginny before he went to die is because she helped him relief the weight of the world on his shoulders, especially with her lips.
