nothing makes me happier than when you have an rp partner that you send headcanons back and forth so much that it completely covers over the fact you take 19+ years to actually reply to a para.

PREVIEW Â & Â PASTEBIN.
    River had always been great at picking the wrong girls. In high school, he went from one to the next, girls who used him to cheat on their boyfriend, girls who dated him and somebody else at the same time, girls who didnât care about him as much as he thought they did â and then, of course the one who thought it would be funny to film their sex and upload the video online. The thought of it still caused his stomach to tie up into a tiny knot, a painful knot, and goosebumps to rise all over his body.
     Why? Why did he always pick the wrong girls? As he looked at Mallory, with this sudden moment of clearness, he wondered why he never went for girls like her. Even tonight, he decided to flirt with a girl who ended up having a boyfriend â one who liked drama and didnât care about him. The blonde now sitting next to him did. She clearly cared about him. So why did he never just look for girls like her?Â
      âThank God for you.â He whispered, unable to take his eyes off her all of a sudden. He was an idiot. He didnât deserve someone like her, especially not out of the spur of a moment like this. âI ruined your entire night, didnât I? Iâm sorry, Iâm sure you would have had lots of fun if it wasnât for me.â A crooked smile appeared on his lips, and he shrugged his shoulders. âYou want to go back? There were a few cute guys.â
After watching River so closely for all these years, Mallory had become awfully good at knowing what certain looks meant. She momentarily began recalling their playful moments--- giving each other looks from across the room, as though the raise of a brow or a specific head shake could say more than words ever could. So, when Riverâs eyes stuck on her a little longer than normal, she couldnât help but notice. It wasnât as though she knew exactly how long River looked at her--- but this was a fact: certain looks meant certain things. She had come across moments where she thought River had been giving her signals, but after realizing that was not the case, she stopped hoping for the impossible.
Malloy laughed, shaking her head. âYou tryinâ to play cupid or somethinâ?â she joked. âYou didnât ruin anything,â she admitted, sighing. âThe party was getting too crazy anyway, I was gonna call it a night.â
    Sutter rarely asked out girls he knew from his real life. That one had gone wrong one too many times. Then again it wasnât as if his attempts at online dating had worked much better. It was just easier to get away from people he didnât know from his daily life, people who he most likely wouldnât see again. And if he did, there were plenty of excuses with which he could get away from them. It wasnât the same with Samantha. They worked together after all. Although he had been interested in her from the first time he lay eyes on her, he had been scared to overstep a boundary.
     If tonight went wrong, working together with her would become quite awkward. The good thing was that so far it seemed to be going well enough. Hopefully, he wouldnât find a way to fuck that up within the next hour or so. âOh, thank you. Iâll try to do the same.â A small smirk appeared on his lips, brushing his bangs out of his eyes before he moved over to his car and opened the passenger door for her.
      âLuck me that I asked then.â He grinned, helping her get inside before he moved around the car to sit down himself. âI hope you feel like having fries and burgers, because Iâve been craving those all damn day long. And I thought Iâll keep my own cooking skills for a second date.â Okay, maybe that went too far. Sutter never had second dates with anyone, and so he mentally slapped himself for saying that. Focusing on the steering wheel, he quickly pulled out onto the street, hoping he hadnât gone too wrong with his comment.
  Quite the gentleman... she notes, pursing her lips together as she gives him a nod with a sweet smile, situating herself in the passenger seat. Although it was common sense to look for respect in another, Sam wished it was one of her parents that gave her the âdating 101âČ talk. All she had to go off of were movies and television shows--- thank god for that, at least. She watched Sutter closely, unknowingly, of course. Sam wasnât exactly in a position to have a check-list.Â
She hummed deliciously at the mention of burgers and fries, smiling to herself until the mention of a second date. â---Date?â she echoes without thought, chuckling. Her hand is placed upon her mouth, a little embarrassed of the slip-up.  In truth, she needed a moment to recall what he said. Sam wasnât terribly insecure--- she knew she was somewhat cute. The girl had an awkward charm, but for someone to call for a second date so quickly was just crazy. âIâd like that,â she adds quickly, her cheeky smile so obvious she had to turn the other way to avoid those eyes. Sam liked Sutter. He had this confidence to him that made her squirm, like she had to keep up with him every step of the way.
@ginvs } â continued from here.
      "You heard me!â Siloh threw the statement back in Judeâs face, stomach tying itself in knots over the sticky situation heâd been dragged into. Sure, the first few times heâd thought, what the hell? Time to have a little fun, scare a few people, make the town remember just who they were dealing with when it came to the local band of misfits. And shit, the girls had eaten it all up, throwing themselves at him left, right and center. The year had grown so quiet, it was nice to be looked at again, nice to be noticed, wanted even. Silohâs ego was fragile that way, he needed to feel needed. So when Judeâs plans always had called for a brother in arms, Siloh had stupidly fallen right into place.
             But now it had gone too far, he was on the verge of losing his scholarship with all this jackassing around. Parents were starting to get phone calls, people were stalking to talk, and Siloh was getting anxious, scared that it would be his name plastered all over the newspapers for crimes heâd barely even committed.Â
       âOh yeah, I will pin this on you.â He argued back like a child. âBecause this was your fucking idea â all of this, it was all you man. I donât know why I was so stupid to go along with any of it!â He huffed, knowing that he was being a bitch about it, but he was the one with the stakes here.  âYou know, if youâre all about playing the fucking part, why donât you land yourself a role in getting us the hell out of this shit. Thatâs what youâre good at, right? Making shit up.â
   Jude held his hands in defense, taking a moment to count to ten. He didnât have a temper--- but it knowingly ran through his blood. For such an easy going guy with a father whoâs vein was ready to pop (no thanks to the little brother)--- he figured one of them had to inherit that trait. They were both easy going, him and Clarke. Hopefully, itâd skip them. â---Youâre right,â he starts calm, though seemingly condescending. âIt was my idea. But it was your dumb ass that decided to go along with it. I didnât hold your hand, Si.â Â
The two stood in a dark alley, the prank set and done. Jude had it out for a casting director--- or one of those assholes that decided to make a joke out of him. Jude wasnât the vengeful type--- in fact, he didnât take himself too seriously. However, when it came to his work, he was very serious. It was an issue that involved some girl he dated in the past, that happened to be the girl of this guyâs dreams. It was petty--- and if he was being petty, Jude was going to be vengeful. âJust call down, okay? I know what Iâm doing--- weâre going to be fine.âÂ
