Superman & Batman scene redraw
Chop chop, Disney. Let's make it happen.
i really like that every modern who era has a distinctly different vibe.
9 is a soap opera
10 is an epic
11 is a fairy tale
12 is a tragedy
13 is a sci-fi romp (i know they're all sci-fi but 13 is SCI-FI sci-fi you know?)
14 is a backdoor pilot to a spinoff show that was never even in the works
15 is VERY experimental i don't know the genre but i think of the truman show and black mirror especially when trying to compare anything to the 15th doctor era
Taken from this. It had the right vibes for him lmao.
if doctor who is going down the "it's a tv show" route, i would prefer this be like how they did Extremis in series 10.
instead the doctor being aware he's in the show we're watching, the doctor entered a "tv" universe at some point. he is unaware that everything since has been television for some unknown party besides mrs flood who clearly knows something's up.
or maybe instead of it being another universe, he has garnered the attention of some higher beings beyond our dimension that use our reality as entertainment. These beings rarely alter the course of events but maybe they are absurdly powerful.
Mrs Flood's speech when sutekh fucked everything up would imply to me that she's not part of the ilk of these higher beings but maybe she is or she's their prisoner and they place her in the events of whatever the fuck they're watching as, or what seems to us as, a fourth wall breaking semi continuity announcer. but she has plans to escape or overthrow the higher beings in some way.
this is not a theory or expectation. i have no evidence. just an idea for the direction i'd take it.
wow did they outdo me on that

OH MY GOD
what if instead of the timelord victorious thing being ignored the very next episode, 10 was actually the villain in The End of Time. The Master had come back and teamed up with Wilfred to try and stop him from bringing back Gallifrey. 10 realises, after succeeding, why the timelords had to go in the first place. That they had become worse than The Daleks by the end of the war. So the episode ends with The Master sacrificing himself to stop the timelords and Wilf's life is in danger so The Doctor, after realising how wrong he was for forgetting how much the "little" people matter, dies to save Wilfred.

What a way to kick my Agents of SHIELD rot back into high gear for a minute. I miss them so much 😭
DC x SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (2025) #1
Thinking about Doctor Who series one episode eleven “Boom Town” again…
i yearn for a doctor who finale that doesn't have world or universe threatening stakes. we haven't had one since the doctor falls where the doctor just took a stand to prolong the survival of one colony ship.
this new season's finale is gonna be called THE REALITY WAR and while i'm sure it'll be good i'm just tired of this shit mattering so much. we really need a season that's just adventures and then one really impactful adventure at the end with some thematic through line but no actual season long story arc.
especially since we only have 8 episode seasons now, i just don't think we have enough time to establish a super big arc while also keeping the episodic nature of doctor who alive. they either have to do a fully serialised 8 episode run about ONE thing, go full send on being episodic, or ORDER MORE EPISODES PER SEASON.
was rewatching self control and haha holy shit elizabeth henstridge and iain de caestecker. wtf
I love her so much I’m already having a good time with this comic and it just started
