I sometimes get comments on my outfits from random people (which is not that common in Finland) and it’s really flattering but I am never prepared for it because my self-conception is that I’m not someone who is easy to notice.

The second drawing is from May Day. My parents are engineers and their student hats have these huge tassels that need to be steamed before wearing.

I've been drawing these while pondering about my style. I have a little difficult relationship with clothing, especially lately I've started to see a pattern that I try to emotionally regulate myself by buying new clothes (some are second hand, but still...). I've been losing weight for a while now and some of my old stuff is too big for me, but mostly I buy more bc it makes me feel better for a while...

In my analysis I've come to realise that for me clothes are kind of an armor of sorts: if you have fancy clothes and big earrings and such, others are less likely to see the person underneath.

Haven’t done much fanart lately, but seeing @good-beansdraws reblogging her lovely fairy RGB trio art I got into drawing fairy Forsyth, bringing us all an aster in these trying times.
