It’s been over a year since Eraserhead and Present Mic adopted Eri, and she feels ready to start public school.

Her first day is pretty rough.

Excerpt:

“Well, let’s see it then,” the horned boy says. “We can decide if it’s cool or not. Show us your quirk!”

“Yeah, show us!” his friends chorus.

“I don’t think I should…” Eri says. “I’m not very good at controlling it yet. And it’s dangerous.”

The other kids lean forward, greedy for risk. The horned boy grins wickedly. “All the more reason to show us then.”

Eri glances frantically around for the teacher, but she’s nowhere in sight. “No, I can’t,” she insists.

The horned boy grabs her. “Show us!” he demands, shaking her.

“No!” Eri cries. 

But it’s too late.
