He/She punched the highlights out of her hair!
Canada Day Party @ the Chaos Theatre [OPEN]
Today marked the first day that Julie Powers and Gideon Graves would hold a joint party in the infamous Chaos Theatre. Although Julie had some reservations about holding a party with Gideon - and she was sure her friends had the same concerns - she liked the idea of a bigger venue to invite as many people as possible to.
This monumental occasion would be taking place on Canada Day and, at the suggestion of Lynette Guycott, that was also the theme of the party. Julie wasn’t very thrilled with the patriotic theme for the country she found so boring, but it was a good enough reason to celebrate. Of course, due to her indifference to the theme, Julie’s outfit wasn’t as theme-appropriate as it could’ve been - she was currently wearing a short red dress with small white boots. She was also sitting at the bar, already having one drink before anyone showed up.
She wasn’t positive where Gideon was at the moment, but she felt sort of okay with the theatre after planning the party with him - she’d even gone into his makeshift living room and said hey to his dog, even if she couldn’t remember the dog’s oddball name. Sighing, Julie felt weird about not really having to do for the party and texted Lynette to ask if she was on her way.
Lynette was getting all spiffed up for Canada Day. She wasn't really the best person to be patriotic, but hey, parties and themes went together so why the hell not be Canadian and patriotic huh? The main point was just to get something worthwhile to party about anyways.
She put on a pair of red stilettos and that white dress she had during that one time she was with TCAD. Over that was a small jacket, laced with multiple little red maple leaves. She let her hair hang out behind her and debated on whether or not to wear a hat. Then she got the text.
It was just a small message from Julie, asking her if she was coming. Ridiculous question- of course she was going. She quickly replied back with a small yes and a winkey face. Forget the hat, Julie probably needed someone there already.
She drove her car, which sported a small little Canada Flag in the front where the little antenna thing was, and shortly arrived. She wasn't sure whether or not she made some dramatic entrance just flinging the doors wide open at the Theatre and entering. "Hey." she said, waving towards Julie.
“Yeah, sort of. It’s fine though. I probably get that hammered like..once every few weeks. …or uh..whatever the safe amount of drinking is for that. ..Point is, I can’t blame you for something I do often.”
“…Really? It’s good that you don’t hate Scott. Maybe all three of us could hang out sometime. …Like, I don’t know, play some video games or watch some dumb movies. I was hoping everyone could go on that road trip, but..I don’t know, it’s sort of falling apart and summer is almost over. Maybe it was a dumb idea for Scott and I to think every one of our friends would be free and willing to go across America.”
"I'm sure that we could play some games. Though probably from what I know Scott's into old fashioned stuff...so more than likely old fashioned video games too I am assuming. Road Trip? What did I miss?"
”..Yeah! It was okay. Gideon was at that party too. He made us all play spin the bottle. …like he literally threatened us into playing it, it was really weird. Sex Bob-Omb sort of played after all of that. ..or, half of Sex Bob-Omb. Whatever Scott and Kim call themselves. I was trying to heckle them and you uh…calmed me down I guess and talked to me. It was nice.”
“Scott’s already invited to the party. We’re sort of friends at the moment. I don’t know if I mentioned that to you. It’s weird. I don’t know if he’s planning on coming, Ramona’s sort of a bitch and I don’t know if she’ll want to come even though she’s been trying to be friends with me recently.”
"Oh yeah, the one where I got drunk and kissed wasn't it?" he asked, remembering just a few brief moments. "Guess I was really hammered on the vodka wasn't I?"
"It's not weird, not at all. People change, so do their opinions. Scott's pretty cool, I only really hated him because I was getting under Envy's radar. Ramona's more than likely going to appear anyways."
“Oh. Right. So you totally blacked out on that party? That’s where I met you …or, well, really met you. Not with Todd and Envy and all that mess. It’s a shame you don’t remember any of that.” Julie gave a small frown, slowly realizing that the ‘swimming’ she had mentioned was at the beach party where she’d ended up almost drowning.
“…Well, yeah, I could do whatever I want, but…I’ve got a reputation to uphold, right? I can’t get too drunk. I might end up doing something I regret or being annoying or allow someone to be out of control at my party. ..Like Gideon. I don’t know. I feel like I’ve gotta keep an eye on him after everything he did. I can’t let people get hurt.”
"You mean where I gave you my number? Or rather where I asked you for your number then like totally crashed out on the floor?" she asked. "Yeah, I barely remember any of it. But I guess it must have been really fun then.
"Ah, true enough. But I'm sure Gideon learned his lesson. and if not you could just invite Scott to kick his ass again."
“I’m..not sure that I remember you going swimming.” Julie said, smiling. “I do remember you passing out. Try not to do that.”
”..I think I’ll be good too, drink-wise. I’ll try not to drink so much that I start whining about my life. Then again, as host I guess I shouldn’t be drinking much at all.”
“…Don’t you think the Chaos Theater lost some popularity when Gideon half-killed Scott there? I’m pretty sure that was all over the internet. People were live-tweeting it or something. …maybe some cool actors missed that though. Or some cool non-actors. Any famous people would do, really.”
"I probably don't remember me passing out. Did I really do that? Seems like I had a few too many drinks then." she mused out.
"As host you have the liberty of doing whatever the hell you want though. Cause if you didn't host in the first place then there'd be no party right? Your like the belle of the ball or whatever."
"Didn't he also totally fake kill Ramona or something? Yeah maybe he lost popularity. But he's still G-Man or whatevs. Unless the music industry totally forgot about him while he was in subspace. Weren't they updating wikipedia about Ramona or something? Had no idea she was that famous."
“I’ll definitely have to make sure there’ll be a lot of drinks for you then,” she joked, pecking a kiss on Lynette’s cheek. “Although, if it’s going to be anything like the first party of mine you went to, you may want to rethink that brilliant idea. I don’t need you hurting yourself.”
“Yeah. Uh..thanks, I guess. I’m not sure that I’m all that ‘awesome’ drunk, but I agree that it’s good I’m not violent. Fighting is dumb. Fortunately, loud rowdy drunks don’t necessarily like cutesy themed parties, so hopefully the party will be fine too, even if it’s at the Chaos Theater…” Trailing off, Julie suddenly realized that having a party at the Chaos Theater would mean more people to keep track of. Of course, probably not with the first party, as people would still be freaked out from the almost-murder, but possibly with future ones. Smiling at Lynette, she shrugged. At least any potential damages wouldn’t be to her home. Hopefully she’d be able to actually have fun and not worry.
"You mean where I went swimming?" she asked, smiling. "But yeah, depends I suppose. I think I'll be good. I'll be if you are, which you are pretty much all the time."
"Chaos Theatre is a pretty popular place. You'll probably prophet off of this somehow in popularity. Who knows, maybe you'll see Envy there again, or maybe some cool actors. But not like that Actor-Ex that Ramona dated."
“Yeah, I don’t know. He obviously doesn’t respect women, even if he thinks he does. I’m sure he’ll fit in great with some of the other assholes who live here.” Julie sighed, rolling her eyes and shrugging. “Whatever. That’s done now and you’re here. That’s pretty great. I wouldn’t mind if you pinned me on the floor and kissed me.”
“…or not, I mean, whatever. I’m just glad you don’t necessarily think I’m too controlling and manipulative. ..and that you forgive me for being a drunken flirt sometimes.”
"That's pretty forward of you." Lynette commented on Julie's second set of sentences. "I'm sure you'll find that'll happen some time at the party if I hit a lot of the drinks." she claimed, smiling.
"Even if I didn't think that I think it'd be pretty cool. Y'know, being able to control your friends with just a small word or two. At least your awesome when your drunk and not like those really rowdy loud drunks who go fighting each other."
“I’m kidding. I’m not…actually suggesting we kill people, to be clear. …If I was though, it would be totally fine if you thought some of my friends were jerks. Some of them are.”
Julie glanced down, trying to think of how to explain her story of inviting and then uninviting the demon to her next party. In the end, she decided the truth would probably be best. “…Well, to be honest, I was sort of flirting with him a little? I mean … I was joking and messing with him and he seemed to get that until he got mad for like no reason and he pinned me to the ground and tried to kiss me and when I told him to get off of me and he called me controlling and manipulative and then we yelled at each other until he left, but then he left his phone and I had to go give it to him so we yelled at each other some more. It wasn’t the best day. …I’m pretty sure I didn’t make a friend there.”
“At least we can count on him not ruining the party. If he did come we might have to reconsider that murder party idea.”
"Yeah, well I wasn't being completely serious either. I might be that slag with the bionic arm but I'm no murderer quite yet. I haven't snapped." she half kidded.
She went on then to listen to Julie's story about the demon guy. Wow, weren't demons supposed to just straight out kill people instead of wasting their time for such remedial and human needs? She bit her lip slightly and tapped her finger against her robotic arm. Wow what a day for Julie.
"Well if he decides to come anyways the yeah maybe. I mean he shouldn't be pushing around women like that- let alone my girl friend. If I see him I swear I'll teach him a lesson or two."
“You must be from another planet, then.” Edward narrowed his golden eyes at the girl, not liking her too much for not showing any interest in him whatsoever. She must be blind and from another dimension. “Thanks, I guess.” He huffed.
"No, I'm sure that this is Earth. And I'm form here. Just like I'm from Toronto....Canada..North America...Earth." she rolled her eyes. He seemed like some cocky arrogant brat. Gay probably.

“So you are in some orchestra?” Edward crossed his arms, shrugging. He wasn’t really a big fan of classy music, he knew his husband loved that stuff though. “I’m Edward Elric, Fullmetal Alchemist.” He grinned, now he sounded more impressive.
"Naw, it's more like..." she didn't know where to start explaining rock music but shrugged. "Orchestral music is pretty great though I must admit. "Edward Elric?" say, that name was indeed pretty familiar. "Nice name you got there. Can't say it's too well known though."
“Would an in general murder party mean I could kill all the terrible jerks in this town with no consequences? That could be pretty great. It’d be like that shitty movie where there’s no laws for anyone, but it’d just apply to certain people at the party.”
“…and you’re right, you did help plan that, didn’t you? It was pretty okay, I guess, even if not a lot of people showed up. This time we can make sure a bunch of people show up. …even though I haven’t been doing that great at making friends. I met some weird demon dude who was new here and I was going to invite him but he turned out to be a total douche.”
She blinked before offering her a small laugh. "Well I suppose I wouldn't mind that. There are some real jerks at your parties sometimes Julie, just saying. Probably not your friends but like the plus ones they bring a long with them." she proceeded to gasp.
"It's the perfect crime. They'll never suspect you."
"You're, what did Ramona say that one time? An aggressive friend maker? Something like that. And a demon huh? Wow that certainly sounds...interesting. What did he even do to seem like a douche? Looks like he could've used a nice punch or something."
“What? I don’t even know you, if anyone should be a fan if anyone, it should be me.” He grinned and waved away the smoke before pointing at himself like he was all that.
"You don't huh? That's a damn shame. I'm a pretty well known person. Lynette Guycott, the drummer for the Clash at Demonhead. Or at least I was. Who are you anyways?" she asked, not at all really caring.
“Not even fake dead bodies for Halloween? That could be fun, yeah? Like some murder mystery-type thing..”
“…but I guess that is a little childish for a high class party at the Chaos theater.”
“Hey, if you’re not big on participating in things in front of people, you could always help Gideon and I plan parties or something. …or, I don’t know, we definitely should hang out more often. You don’t have to try something you don’t want to do just to make me happy. That’d be dumb.”
"Maybe for next Halloween or something. Or maybe just in general a murder party. That'd be cool actually, make a party based after all the shit that went down with Gideon."
"I usually help you plan parties don't I? Remember the Halloween party? Even if like a few people I knew barely managed to make it there it was fun hanging out. We should like do a bunch of more stuff though. And it doesn't matter if it's dumb, who knows, maybe there'll be like a pin the tail on the Scott or something."

"Well hello there." she said, lighting a cigarette. Great, more fans or interactions with people. "What's up with you?"
“Yeah, maybe! It’s pretty exciting, especially since he’s agreed to behave himself and not …kill anybody. He had some traumatic experience in Tibet or something with Subspace? I don’t know. It’s really weird talking to him and being friendly.”
“…You can still blend in the background too, don’t worry. I won’t make you play at any of these parties if you don’t want to.”
"Is that so? Well as long as there are no dead bodies...or fake dead bodies...or bodies in general which are not moving I suppose. I wonder what really happened to the fella."
"Maybe that's why I'm bored, cause I don't participate in these things. I suppose I could give it a try for you or something."
