Announcement!!

Hey friends! So... wow. It has been a really really long time and I apologize for that. I miss you all and writing quite a lot! I have gone back and read some of my old writing on here and on Wattpad and I forgot how much I missed it all. With that being said I am really really going to try to write more this year. However I am going to be posting my writing on Wattpad instead of on here. I just prefer the layout of Wattpad and especially now with all the changes to Tumblr I would rather have everything on Wattpad. I had an old story on there that I never finished but I love the start I have so I am going to clean that one up and continue it. I also want to work on New Love in New York that I had been posting on here. I am also going to try to post the occasional one shot/blurb on there from time to time. So if you want to follow my writing journey then please follow my Wattpad (same username as on here)!! I love you all and I am so looking forward to this year!!

The knocking at my door this time was not as insistent as it was when Mark was waking me up earlier.  I pulled my hand out from under the pillow, my Apple watch face lighting up so bright it hurt my eyes.  It was two in the morning.  I let my hand drop to the bed with a thud.  One day my friends were going to require discussions with me at normal hours.  

I was still half asleep when I opened the door, barely focusing on the face ahead of me.  But I definitely knew the voice.

“Hey…”

Molly.

And by the tone of her voice she wasn’t concerned with my anger.  She actually had a smile on her face,

“Care for some company?”

My eyes just about came out of my head in shock.  Was she fucking serious?  And before I could stop it that’s exactly what I asked her,

“Ya fuckin’ serious?”  I almost yelled.  I backed away from the door, intending for it to slam in her face.  I was more than irritated when the door barely moved after I let go of it.

She was easily able to push it back open and follow me inside,

“Yes, I’m serious.”

The way she said it only irritated me more.  Like I was insane for even asking the question.  She set her purse down on the dresser,

“Why did you leave the bar?”

I whirled around,

“Did we both just have the same evening?  Because I think I made it pretty clear why I left the bar.”

50: “ We’d make such a cute couple. ”

This is pure unadulterated angst and nothing more.

Have you ever made such a huge mistake that you were sure you could never take it back?  I did.  I made the biggest mistake humanly possible I think.  Well, when it comes to two people anyway.

I’ll give you some back story.  

I had been friends with Niall since we were young.  Niall was my sanity if I was honest about our relationship.  He always seemed to be there when I needed him.  Whether I was dealing with my parents divorce, boyfriend drama, bad grades…Niall was the one to show up at my window at midnight and take me out to a park where we would swing on the swingset until the early morning hours.

One night, just before we turned fifteen, he showed up at my window again.  I wasn’t having any kind of crisis so I was a little surprised to see him there.  He asked me to come with him to the park.  I was exhausted and I had an English test in the morning, but after some cajoling, I went.  

What happened next was like something out of a teen romance movie.  Niall sat me on the swings and he told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend.  He said he always had but he didn’t know how to say it and he didn’t want to scare me.  He took my hands in his and he leaned forward.

I pushed him away.  Well, I didn’t really push…but I did lift my hand onto his shoulder to stop him.  To this day I have no idea why.  My only explanation is that I was fifteen and stupid.  

Thankfully for me, Niall understood.  I think maybe he’d been expecting it.  I was always one of those people who didn’t really understand the gravity of my actions until I felt the consequences.  I think he might have expected me to realize I really did want him and come running back.  But I didn’t.  

We stayed friends.  Our relationship took no hit whatsoever.  It was like nothing had happened.  Niall never got angry nor did he treat me any differently.

He would leave for the X-Factor and subsequently become part of One Direction a year later.  Niall’s life completely changed in the span of a few months.  I was left back in Ireland with our group of friends to cheer him on while his career skyrocketed and his bank account exploded.
