Merry Christmas Studly!
Jin was careful to wrap the two gifts carefully. Each was garnished with black wrapping paper, and decorated with a pretty silver bow, that he was sure looked perfect. One box a small square, that fit in the palm of his hand, while the other was a long, flat rectangle. He eyed them warily…deciding if they needed anything else before he figured that he should write the younger man a letter.
The letter was scrawled onto an empty card, and delicately placed into an envelope that he labeled accordingly.
To my dearest Studly.
And inside it read:
Hm, it feels like just a blink of an eye since the day we met. When we looked into each other’s eyes for the first time…and I absolutely knew you were the one. Still, I forgive you for stealing my heart away, I think it always belonged to you anyway.
Every second with you has been an adventure, and one that will never fade from my memory. I love you, and even if just three words can’t possibly describe the immense depth of my feelings for you…I hope that I can show you the rest through my actions. Please remember, that no matter what, I’ll be by your side until the oceans dry, and the sun fades into vast darkness. Because, you’re all I need to quench my thirst, and light my skies.
I know I may be clumsy…and quite dense at times, but I do my best to ensure your happiness.
I promise to keep you warm and safe, loved and cherished, held tight but loose and free; you deserve the best, and you chose me.
Thank you, sweetheart, and Merry Christmas.
Each box contained something special, something that Jin went to great trouble to save for. They were worth every penny.
The first was an antique ring…
And the second were two alike necklaces, one for each of them, with the date that they met, and “Thank you for being beside me" engraved into a metal plate, and a key dangling with it
=================
His brows wiggle as he eyes the two presents that say on the desk. They were meticulously and cleanly wrapped which was something the older would definitely have done. Jimin had a feeling those were his Christmas presents but he didn't want the older to walk in on him unwrapping them because at that point, he'd probably become a sobbing mess.
He glanced once more at the clock, making note of how much time he has before his lover is home before he makes his way to get the presents and the sealed card, bringing them back to the bed before he could start the unwrapping.
He quietly unwraps the smaller present of the two, chewing on his lower lip the entire time until he's able to open the small box, eyes going wide as his jaw almost drops. It was different and he loved it. It was one of those obnoxious and bright silver hands that lately people would share. It was worn with time, and secretly he had hoped that the older was signing that they'd grow old together just like this ring had. He didn't waste another moment as he quickly slid it onto his ring finger, admiring it under the light.
The emotions were already getting at him and he wasn't even done with the second present or card. Carefully but quickly, he unwrapped the other present before propping the box open. Couple necklaces.... It was always something he secretly wanted and now, Jin had gotten it for him. But unlike the ring, he didn't want to put it on until the older was home. He wanted to put the other one around his lover's neck as well. And without further adieu, he went to open the card. That was when his emotions had gotten to him completely. With every line the tears only pricked more and more at the corners of his eyes before his sight began to get blurry and before he could burst into tears, he quickly retrieved his cell phone to text a picture and a message to his lover.
[[Picture Message]] It was a picture of the ring on his finger.
[[Text]] Baby...Merry Christmas and I love you too, more than you'll ever know. Lets spend forever together okay? There's nothing I want more...come home soon.
