Waltz for the Moon ♚
ryuukigj:
At least the time spent on waiting was worth the while when the queen unveiled her appearance for the night – spectacularly befitting of a princess, that was Athena’s description of the night that he could not help himself but to think that he made the right choice to choose this suit and the Queen as his date. “Certainly you did keep me waiting, your majesty.” that was the reply to her jab onto him but he did it with a spice of his smile that his eyes even crescented a little as he bowed down in the presence of royalty– accentuated by his palm onto his left chest.
If she was not the queen of Skotadi, she surely would be a note of that she did waste his time but the Queen was no civilian that he wanted to tarnish reputation with as of now. yet, perhaps. “Partially was to look presentable for the night and the other was to boost my own confidence. I am sorry if it pains you not to be one of the reasons why I look good tonight.” His left arm moved to show her majesty the way to their vehicle after the bow.
“It would be unreasonable of me to not return the favor but my queen, you look stunning.“ He slipped in the compliment. “Never once would I thought that golden makes you shine brighter for all I know of you is nothing but grey clouds hanging above you.“ He nodded towards his butler who had opened the door for them, patiently waiting for the Queen to get in first before resuming their banters.
“If I not known who you are would have won my heart.“ He would not minding cursed by the Queen for his own words but it was deemed necessary at that point. Not that he would be united with the Queen anyways.
words were matched with equal smugness and athena refrains from a scoff—knowing it would be unladylike and contrasting to her appearance for the night. so she settles with a hum, acknowledging his bow and the bits of respect he held for nothing more than her status.
“shyness is cute on you,” the queen retaliates at his reasons for looking presentable, denying she was a factor in his dress-up, “but i shall pretend that you’re speaking the truth,” she flashes a soft smile, fake innocence decorating the corners of her lips. her stare follows ryuuki’s arm, glancing at her transportation for the night. the caravan was nothing she would have expected- but the queen holds back her tongue. as long as it rightfully gets her to her destination, she thinks. and with such thoughts, athena moves towards the vehicle. she hears the compliment, but it lasts a second when the following sentence hits her ears and athena chuckles, dryly. “that is true, all my sun and light somehow always get destroyed when you’re beside me,” she glances at him, “it’s like you make my world gray and depressing,’ she teases.
athena then clutches against the side of her dress and steps into the car. making sure none of the cloth drags against the floor, she settles down on the furthest seat. there’s a look of amusement afterwards, “i’m flattered, perhaps in another timeline you would be brave enough to admit your feelings for me.”
