to the gay trans guys
just because your experience of being a gay man is vastly different than our cis counterparts does NOT mean you’re any less of a man.
it may be hard, seeing certain posts pertaining to cis gay people talking about analyzing how gay they were before they realized it, or first gay experiences, and not relating because your attraction to men at the time was perceived straight.
It’s hard hearing people, even other trans guys, saying that attraction is about sex rather than gender, and that gay men who will be attracted to you are bi, and feeling like you’ll never be loved as a man to other men.
It’s hard knowing that if you took one facet of your identity, being trans, you wouldn’t be LGBT+ at all (and if you’re ace or aro, have it constantly debated) and dysphoria is heightened even more when you feel invalidated.
It’s hard to think that any facet of you being deemed attractive, will more than likely be as a girl rather than a man, unless you get HRT and/or surgery and even THEN the feelings might still persist, and being skeptical of any attraction towards you because it might just be internalized transphobia on the guy’s part.
Someday, you WILL be loved as a man, romantically and/or sexually. What you were perceived as when you were younger doesn’t stop you from having a boyfriend who’ll truly love you for who you are. And you’re handsome as a man right now, even if you didn’t go through HRT yet. Your dysphoria is just a bitch. You’ll get through this, even if the road is difficult.
Feel free to use a similar format for a different gender/orientation identity. REGs, especially truscum, don’t interact. Discourse will be blocked on sight. As much as this is for dysphoric trans gay guys, non-dys trans gays are still trans and gay as well and i will still defend them to my dying breath.
