3 things from 2014
In a few hours, it will be another year. In a few hours everything that happened this year will be left to remember, and we will face another 12 months, 365 days filled with new memories to make and cherish. The reason why i am writing this i because i was inspired by will darbyshire's video "3 things from 2014" wherein he mentioned the lessons he learned from the past year. And from what i can say that is the best year of my life yet, here are my three things from 2014. 1. Step out of your comfort zone. This is cliché, i know. But the thing is, it is not worth it to live a life of regrets. It is because we regret more the things we do not do instead of the things we do. If you know me, i do the craziest dares and the most embarrassing things you could imagine. But do i regret it? No. I did not because i had the lady balls to do it. To prove my point, a few days ago i told the guy i like i liked him and it got some weight off my chest. I did not have to live asking myself "what if i did?" or "what would happen?" Also, this year, i started to wear more makeup. Now people will say that i am too young or that my makeup is too thick, but i like doing it, and for me i don't do it for others, but because i see it as my hobby. In short, fuck what others say. You do you. 2. Do not be afraid to feel. If there's one thing that left a mark on me this year, it is that it is okay to get your heart broken. It is when you get your heart broken that you have the best kind of energy to put it to work. I write better. So go. Write. Draw. Paint. Do not let the broken pieces of glass wound you. I also got the chance to visit san francisco this year and i learned how to fall in love with a place. I still remember how everything made me say that i will bring someone i love to that place. And it made me feel something, it was pure happiness. I knew that even if i do get sad and down at times, i will always be given the chance to be genuinely happy by the simplest of things, so do not be afraid to feel. 3. Nothing lasts forever. From all the things that happened this year from flappy bird to the als ice bucket challenge to kim kardashian, they all just clicked for a while. Soon people will move on and find something new to obsess about. This year, I also started counting down to the very last day of my highschool years. So what i learned is that i should appreciate where i am at the very moment because ill never know how long it will last. If ill get tired of it eventually, or if the people around me will eventually get tired of me. I will never know when i will see that same person or that same place again. You cannot do again what is done and it is best if you take in every living moment of that memory. If you truly appreciate everything and everyone around you, the you will truly begin to appreciate life. I hope you all had a great year, and I hope that you will have a greater year ahead.
