Jealous Magnus Damora moments Part 1
Frozen Tides
“But first, tell me where Cleo is.” Jonas said.
“Cleo,” Magnus repeated. “Yes, of course you’d be one of the privileged few who don’t address her by her royal title, being allies and all.”
————————-
“Are you in love with her?” Magnus’s unpleasant smile stretched wider. “Is that why you risk life and limb again and again for that girl? The type of girl who normally wouldn’t give you a second glance?”
————————-
“Answer me this, princess. What exactly is there between you and Agallon? Is it more than a friendly alliance between a princess and a rebel?”
“What do you mean?”
He glared at her as if she were a child purposely avoiding an answer. “Are you in love with him?”
Her mouth dropped open. “What?”
“Under any circumstances I wouldn’t care, of course. But if the two of you were in love, it would make it much more complicated for the three of us to go forward.”
————————-
Magnus narrowed his eyes as he watched Kurtis place his gloved hand upon Cleo’s shoulder and whisper something in her ear.

After Cleo hugged Jonas
Cleo risked a glance at Magnus. Not for one solitary moment did she forget he was standing only a few paces away.
His arms crossed over his chest and he studied her, his expression blank apart from the right line of his jaw.
“What a tender farewell,” he said. “How romantic.”
————————
“Yes.” Nic squeezed her hands. “I love you, Cleo. But I think you know that already.”
“What love for the princess this morning. How delightful for you all.” Magnus crossed his arms over his black jacket.

Crystal Storm
Any other day, she would be smiling just as wide as the rebel. “Explain to me what is going on.”
“Yes,” Magnus said, his dark eyes fixated on Jonas. “An explanation for your arrival in this city coinciding with our own would be greatly appreciated.”
“I’m shocked to say, it’s almost good to see you too, your highness.” Jonas gave the prince the edge of a smile.
It wasn’t returned.
————————-
“Stay,” Cleo urged. “Please consider it, at least. For me.”
Jonas met her earnest cerulean eyes with his. “Perhaps.”
Magnus stood up. “ You suggested the rebels stay here?” he said accusingly to his grandmother. “In this very inn? That’s the worst idea I’ve ever heard.”
