Matriarchs are uplifting and I providing for their offspring and yet they do not have control of knowing the outcome in the lives of their children. It’s impossible for any parent to be in every aspect of their child’s life. Indeed this absence is a natural development leading to adulthood. Along the journey children go out and have other influences that are either detrimental to them or a great positive force in their development only to succumb to fate / destiny if there is such a tangible concept. How many mother’s of color throughout history have cried countless tears and lost sons and daughters at the hands of the enemy in their own land from Africa’s west coast to the shores, fields, streets and laws of America. So often Black males in history are slaughtered lambs and are sometimes absent in the lives of their families by death, choice, or systematically induced. Mothers therefore or forced to be so providers we come in the pillars of the community with so much weight to bear she can hardly move or breathe but yet does that and more. She has become even more necessary for the survival of a black family. In return she is loved and she ascends to DIVINITY! This is America too.
