🏛️ Glenn is a level 15 sorcerer! I will roll for stats once his sheet is done.
🏛️ Everything is the same story-wise, but in this AU Glenn is swapped with Henry! Meaning that he was the one who grew up in Closevale with Bill Close. Swap!Bill, unlike Canon!Barry, liked deferring his responsibilities to everyone else who wasn’t him; he got away with this because everyone loved him! He was just so charismatic (and definitely wasn’t brainwashing everyone)!
As a kid, Glenn became a city planner of sorts since, when Swap!Meryl Streep arrived in Faerun and founded the town of Closevale, he took some...liberties with the infrastructure. When the leadership of the town is shifty, things are bound to break. But, of course, people respected him as Prince Glenn and he managed to bring the town up to some level of decency.
Somewhere along the way, Glenn ends up using his father’s mirror (passed down from the Streeps) to escape to Earth. He loses his memories, but is saved by Morgan Freeman! He gets a doctorate in architecture and begins working in San Dimas as one, but retires to become a professor after the birth of their child, Nicholas Close-Freeman. Turns out, he likes that better!
The rest of his story follows similarly--on the way to save his son from his father, he discovers he has innate magic. His son is affected by the Rogue card and hates him. He gets stabbed by his son after leaving Faerun, etc. etc.
Currently, he’s just trying to get things back to normal and repair the relationship between him and his son.
There is a single ring at Morgan's door. Glenn isn't sure how he got here--he just sort of...thought really hard about it, while he was panicking about promising a visit to someone who he didn't know how to get to. But he is here, and waiting outside her door! Gosh, he hoped this was the right place. How awkward would that be, knocking on the wrong person's door?
A tote bag from the local grocery store is slung over his shoulder, with a thermos of rose-hip tea, some kale chips, and more than a couple bottles of water. He's wearing a sensible white button-up shirt under a tan sweater and grey khakis--the only hint that this is Glenn is the red tie that peeks out.
Morgan, realizing she hadn't actually given this Glenn her Faerun address, had begun typing up a message about it when he heard the ring of the doorbell.
She stumbled across the living room and opened the door, still wearing the Naruto shirt and sports shorts from the night before. Squinting at the sunlight, she looked at the half-stranger in front of her.
Hey uh... Glenn? You must be Glenn. My Glenn just left so uh, come on in.
Morgan blinks, caught off guard, but moves out of the way to allow him inside. Her face heats up at the unexpected compliment.
Thanks, and yeah. Feels like somebody's using a jackhammer inside my head but otherwise, alright.
She closes the door behind them, hesitating awkwardly before continuing.
She had met other Glenns through Tumblr, which is where everyone was, weirdly enough. Still, this was her first time seeing one of his doppelgangers in the flesh. Even Bee seemed intrigued, walking over to sniff the new Glenn's pant leg.
Let's.. go to the kitchen. Can I get ya something to drink?
She began leading Glenn to the kitchen, which was messy, but currently much more presentable than the living room. She gestured to a small dining table for him to sit, which was littered with mail, empty glasses, and a small potted cactus. She hastily picked up the cups, bringing them to the sink, uncharacteristically self conscious.
He bends down, holding out a hand to the cat so they would see him as safe. Animal Handling: 10 + 5 = 15.
Aw, you’re such a good kitty, aren’t you?
He gently scratches the top of Bee’s head before bending back up and following Morgan. His knees creak a little--he feels almost too old for all this.
What a quaint place! It reminded him of his Henry’s apartment. After...well, everything that happened in the Forgotten Realms, he had taken to escaping there. Yes, it made him horribly guilty, but some nights it felt better than managing his family. Don’t get him wrong, they are, were, and would always be absolutely amazing! He is so incredibly lucky to have them, but between all the arguments it did seem like his beautiful boy Nick would never feel the same...
The mess felt almost like his home away from home, but he didn’t comment on it. He had a feeling she wouldn’t take it the way he intended.
Oh, no, thank you! Er, I mean- I brought water, so no need to worry about ol’ me.
He chuckles, setting the bag on the table. He begins unloading the contents.
There’s tea here for you if you’d like it? I also brought some other variants of tea bags if you don’t--this one might be a little sour, that’s all. Rose-hips tend to be, but I hope the honey counteracts that...
As he rambles, his voice gradually quiets until he notices he’s muttering to himself and shuts up.
He stops in his tracks as a small child...enters (?) the home. That was very peculiar! Immediately, he jumps to his feet to approach and bend down to the young one’s eye-line.
Hey, friend! That’s a funny place to fall...w-where did you--erm...
He glances up at the front door, then back up at the ceiling.
Morgan jumps with a start at the noise, turning around in her chair. Eyes wide as she looks at the child that just appeared in her kitchen.
Not realizing just yet that she already knows the kid (perception 6) she gets up and follows Glenn's lead, kneeling next to them, concerned and curious.
As the child moves into a sitting position, their My Neighbor Totoro tee shirt becomes easier to see. They pull their knee up, which is sporting a fresh scrape.
"Uwh..." The kid's eyes start to water when they see the tiny bit of blood, and she looks up at Glenn and Morgan in confusion before bursting into tears.
The child sniffles as the pain fades, and rubs their eyes with the backs of their hands.
"Th-thank you," they say to Morgan cautiously, drawing their knees up to their chest and hugging them. "Where am I? Is Titi here?" They look between Glenn and Morgan doubtfully. These adults seem nice enough, but...
Morgan smiles as she watches Glenn talk to the kid, remaining quiet. Her eyes then flick over to Bee, who had begun approaching the child, sniffing them before immediately purring and rubbing up against their leg.
Curious as to why Bee was so receptive to the apparent stranger, Morgan squinted before his eyes widened, turning back to the child.
Kelsey??
She exclaimed before Kels had the chance to respond, finally connecting the dots. ((Perception 20 (17+3))
The child blinks in surprise at hearing this adult say their name.
"Are you Titi's friend?" They smile wide at Morgan. "Did she tell you about me? Did she tell you I'm really good at coloring?" Kelsey flaps their hands happily. This is great! They can definitely trust the two people they've never met before because one of them know her name!
Aw, the cat found a new fr--wait, Morgan knew them? His gaze flickers back up at her, his eyes wide in suprise. He sighs, however, and drops it entirely. It did make...whatever this was so much easier.
"Oh! I'm sorry," Kelsey apologizes to Bee. They hold their hands still when the cat reapproaches, holding them out for Bee to sniff before trying to pet her. Kelsey smiles up at Glenn again.
"Do you like to color, too? My friend Birdie used to color with me, but I haven't seen her in a few months," she explains. Kelsey seems a bit sad, but tries to shake it off. She looks over at Morgan in confusion. "Um... What are Mario carts?"
“Birdie is the nicest!” Kelsey exclaims. “She’s also really cool. She can climb trees and isn’t scared of falling even though she falls sometimes. Also she can talk to chickens and,” they pause and turn to Morgan, “Yes, she said her last names were Oak-Gar...Garcia!”
They look up at Morgan in awe when he says the magic four-letter word. “I like games! How do we play?” They blink at him hopefully. “I’m not in trouble! I was only in trouble once a few months ago because I didn’t come home for dinner, but now I know to go home for dinner so I won’t get in trouble for playing with Glenn and Morgan for a little while, I promise.”
Oak-Garcia? Though it wasn't entirely unreasonable to guess that Henry had adopted another child, it did seem more plausible to blame Birdie's existance on another timeline.
Wait, didn't that mean....
Kelsey, you won't be in trouble, I'm just wondering... do you--uh, travel through time? Realms? Uni...verses? I'm not--does any of that sound familiar? How did you get here?
He sounds a but exasperated, rushing through his half-baked conclusion.
Morgan looks at Glenn in sympathy, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Yes, little Kelsey here is a time witch. Not sure how they ended up here, though.
She pulls herself up off the floor, beckoning for the others to get up as well. He had no clue what was going on, but Kelsey seemed in good spirits, so he decided to play it cool for now, hands on her hips.
Come on now, no need to interrogate them further.
Alright kid, you wanna play then? Or- we got tea here, snacks. All kinds of stuff. The video games are in the living... room...
His voice trails off, and his eyes widen. She suddenly remembers what she did last night, why Glenn was here in the first place, what else was in the living room. Right now, her house was no place for a kid.
She hurries around Glenn and Kelsey, grabbing a trash bag out of a box in the pantry and rushing into the living room. She scrambles to shove beer cans and chip bags into it, hiding his weed away in a drawer.
Kelsey seems confused by most of what Glenn is talking about, but when Morgan says the magic words time witch, they brighten.
"Yes, that's what Titi says I am! A witch like Titi!" They seem immensely proud of that fact, and while Morgan is hurriedly cleaning up the traces of weed and alcohol from his living room, Kelsey begins to chatter at Glenn. "Titi says that because I'm a witch, I get to learn at home because special kids need special class. I don't like doing schoolwork because it's boring but Titi says there are things I need to know how to do for when I get bigger."
They pat down their pockets until they find a folded-up piece of paper. They show it to Glenn proudly. "This is a picture of my home! Titi and I live here." It is a mess of colorful scribbles, and they look at Glenn with hopeful eyes. "Do you like it?"
As Morgan rushes off, Glenn makes sure to position himself so there would be no way that Kelsey could see the...erm, pg-13 material.
Oh, homeschooling! That's very right, there are so many things you learn at your age for when you become a grownup. Can you tell me how old you are?
His eyes widen at the scribbles. It faintly reminds him of when his son, as a young kid, used to draw literally anywhere he could. Before his aching heart could give him away, he smiles brightly.
Well, if that doesn't belong in a museum, I don't know what does! Your home looks just lovely.
Morgan finishes cleaning up, double checking to make sure the room is child-friendly, Mario Kart up on the TV.
In had been a long time since she had a kid in her house, she realized, thinking of her son. He was probably off somewhere losing his limbs, she guessed. And then Nicholas... She pushed the thought out of her mind. Not her kid, not really. What right does she have to worry?
She moved her hair out of her face and dropped the garbage bag next to the front door, deciding she'd take it out later.
He peeks back into the kitchen, smiling.
Ready to play!
Also... Glenn if you still have that tea.. Or something for my head.
Kelsey looks at their fingers for a few moments, concentrating hard. "Um... Okay, I was five... And then two months... And then when we lived in the blue house I was eight and a half... And eighteen months in the green house... Plus the year in the house with the tree... And then the now home for four months... So..." The Little One stares at their fingers for a minute, then smiles at Glenn brightly. "I don't know!"
She hands Glenn the drawing. "You can have it. I can draw another one for Titi." Hearing Morgan call them into the other room, Kelsey squeaks excitedly and darts around Glenn to take a look. "Wow! It looks like an anime," they gasp, smiling at the screen. Climbing onto the couch, they sniff the air curiously. "It smells funny in here. Titi smells like flowers. How do we play!?"
Oh! Well, that’s okay. You have a very sharp memory!
He tries very hard to hide his confusion. It’s not anything bad, it’s a time witch thing; it’s not bad at all, just a time witch thing. Right!
He gingerly takes the drawing, treating it like a porcelain vase rather than scribbles on paper.
Thank you, Kelsey. That’s very--quite sweet of you.
He glances up above the couch at Morgan and smiles.
Ah, right--let me get that thermos for you.
As Kelsey rushes to the couch, he moves to the table and rummages through his tote bag until he finds the tea. Still warm, thanks to his favorite thermos brand. He also grabs his travel container of Advil. Those in hand, he crosses back over to give them to Morgan.

Hello, Morgan! I don't believe you're in the best headspace right now, but I hope everything is going ok! ...Do you, maybe, want to talk about it? Er, I'm still married to a version of you in another time, so I think maybe I'm sort of in a good position to help? I'd like to if I can.
Love, Glenn
