I love the fact that, when I tell people I have a body pillow, they automatically assume it's for reasons of lewdness. In actual fact, I just like to cuddle while I sleep. But I don't just tell everyone that, I let people assume whatever they want.

I hadn't noticed how many of my likes are Sonadow posts. Though my favourite pairing is the somewhat rarer Knuckles/Shadow. Shaduckles? Knuxadow? I'm not sure.

Anyway, they're both loners who started out as enemies, then became frenemies, then friends... a good fit for the classic enemies-to-lovers arc. I identify with Shadow, he's a strong, fierce, independent loner. Knuckles learned to come out of his shell and join Team Sonic, so... perhaps he could teach his love Shadow to do the same. I need someone like that in my life, too >.>

I could get into Shadails (Shadow/Tails) as well, but Tails is far too young for me to feel comfortable. There's an argument that could be made that, because he was five when he first appeared in a game, his year of birth is 1987 or thereabouts, but... look at him, he's still a kid.

I like Shadouge (Shadow/Rouge) too, though there's always something in the back of my mind about how Rouge is a serial heartbreaker who flirts with people just to get what she wants.

Sonadow's good. It makes a lot of people happy, and doesn't hurt anyone, and that's a good thing. Seeing Shadow happy in Sonadow stuff makes my heart flutter! Though Sonic's often portrayed as being a bit too brash, arrogant, and in-your-face for my tastes.

Today I learned you can make a curse worse just by believing in it... it's called the nocebo effect, and it's honestly kinda scary. Like, if you're given some medicine and you're warned it might make you vomit, you're likely to start to feel nauseous, even if what you were given was just an empty pill.

I don't know what you can do about that. Getting used to challenging your beliefs might be a good exercise. Maybe one I should start on too...

Made my first ever spell and sigil using a few guides.

The language that bigots use is really empowering if you get the facts right.

Example, when talking to a trans woman:

"I don't care what you look like, what you have or haven't done to your body, what you do in the future, what name you call yourself, what your friends call you... you'll always be a woman to me. Unless and until you tell me otherwise."

(Wouldn't try this for real though, because, even if technically correct, such language is very emotionally-charged)

There is an explicit version of Sonic Frontiers’ “Vandalize,” with several uses of the word “fuck.” Though this could obviously count as noncanon, there are however several other official Sonic songs that utilize swear words.

The Sonic Adventure 2 version of “Unknown from M.E.” Also says “Ain’t a damn thing funny,” making it the first Sonic song to have a curse word.

The SA2 song “Deeper” also contains the line, “Ya damn right, Knuckles.” The game version replaces this line with a saxophone solo.

The song “All of Me” by Sins of a Divine Mother contains the line “But all that shit means nothing.” This song was intended for the Shadow the Hedgehog game but was eventually not included; however, it was put onto the official soundtrack release, making it technically canon.

“His World”, the theme from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), contains the line “[he’s] kicking ass fast!”

Then, finally, “Vandalize,” with “Fuck the pain away, my bed is in ruins”; the censored version of the song included on the official release is, “Fight the pain away, my head is in ruins.” It also replaces the later line “You’re fucking crazy” with “You’re freaking crazy.”
