Just unlocked something I somehow hadn't considered until you replied...

The Glitchy Red first image of previous ask and healing ""not viable"", was more on individual character fics, because of the bad relationship with players (without any alternative 'real' company), and not being able to get what he wanted... at least in creepypasta...

Then I remembered that maybe things don't have to be so bad even then, when some wishes don't exactly go in a way one may want at the time (and not all people could be so bad, etc... there were one or two fics with this, but not very deep into the existencial parts, more of a ×reader thingy comfort).

But I also REALLY wanted him to be 'free', from what hurt him, what was "meant" or not to be once for him, of him. (I love how the eyes bleeding and other creepypasta things are kept congruent in your fic, and how the proccess behind really brings up the existencial part more. Details and marks that can't be simply erased, but carrying them doesn't have to hurt so bad always forever...)

... ... The other reason I said not viable after 'in-universe' bit was because I used it as in, if some stories were not occurring in a game, BUUUUT I'm not very knowledgeable in english terms... I might have used it incorrectly to separate concepts of world view... ...

((Being in a game is a essential piece for some creepypastas, can't be glossed over or changed easily... At least for Steven fics MissingNo was sometimes treated as a sort of "other thing deity(?" Rather than a glitch, because it's something that can be interpreted like that easily... I really like how it works as Steven literally breaking the world in creepypasta though, not just defying it in the act of wanting to revive Miki)

At the end of the day, I think there's a possible happy ending for every Creepypasta, mostly because they tend to be a sort of "snapshot" of the character's life? And most of these guys are still young by most standards even if they aren't kids in some cases. If one has the motivation to write a story about it, I think there's a happy ending both in- and out-of-universe for Glitchy! Reminds me of how I considered some sort of ARG for Retold about giving him a sort of "afterlife"...

When I write Semicolon, my intent is to show as much love for the source material - not just the horror stories, but the media theyre based on - as i can. I like to include nods to the games, anime, manga, all that. There's enough pokemon content for your whole life to revolve around it, and mine did for most of my life, so it comes to me naturally. But its nice to encourage other people to look into the things they may have missed :]

I'm thankful for your take on the pokémon creepypasta characters as other than "irredeemable", like, time passing really matters, even if the events did repeat maaaaaaaany times (am not sure if for all game characters tho, will need to reread c: ) they don't remain the same for them, aren't exactly an "enforcer" for their actions and "reasons" they took those then either; they can go on... Of course, literally taking them away from the world-loop is a necessary step first, gotta have a choice to be able to take it..

Again, time passing really can shape how they view what happened, that makes me think ""reedemability(?"" like, if sh!t just happened it can feel so jarring on the mind, but would it mean it'll be easier or harder to go on from? Maybe sometimes later can temper the feels, uhhh

I don't know how to continue or what else to say.

I really appreciate it! I love making unique takes on these characters that mean so much to me. I put a lot of thought into it. I've rarely run into anything that scratches the same meta horror itch that Creepypastas do, even if things Try. So much of the discomfort comes from it being something that actually WAS part of your real childhood, yknow

Generally as a person I don't tend to see anyone as irredeemable, because I think redemption is an entirely personal choice. The only people who can't be redeemed are the people who don't want to be. The Slender Mansion and metatextual elements give me a good avenue of exploring how sometimes people do extremely bad things as consequences of some isolated point of their life, and how that shouldn't have to define them forever

I haven't done anything with it, but in terms of an in-universe healing journey, I have been rotating a Glitchy Red/Blue Tears AU where they 100% take place in the same universe and develop from a toxic relationship built on their innate codependency and situational immortality to smth healthier as they mature. Might not do anything with it but its in the back of my mind these days LMAO

Unfortunately I don't really engage with the FNF side of the pokepasta fandom due to bad experiences with the fandom of HL (I'm aware pokepasta mods arent a Monolith but you get me LMAO) so I did not even hear it was getting an update and haven't seen the original version either HDKAHDK but I did check out the Strangled Red songs because of this ask and I like them! I really like the sprite work in the mod
