I’m guessing that sumi is diagnosed with a genetic terminal Inness that manifested with age, and there was no cure at all, she decided to cut off her engagement with naoshi and marry shinichi Saimori instead and kinda have miyo.

((It’s kinda like how legoshi’s mom is a mixed breed of a grey wolf and a Komodo dragon and her scales kept appearing so she was checking through magazines and found a wolf to stay with one night and had legoshi so that he won’t have scales as well))

((Edit)) nope it’s another flashback of miyo’s mom, sumi no longer needed naoshi for his protection now that she had miyo, usui planned to kill the emperor and Kiyoka and the Saimori’s as well

2024 has now become the worst year of my life, first my great grandmothers passed away 2 years ago and now my grandmother who is the mother of my mom….shes been hurting for so Long and I have a feeling she won’t last long because of the infection spreading…my last memory of her is bringing her the diamond art Santa frame and how she ordered my last birthday gift from her….im really gonna miss her…. I’m hurting so badly that my grandmother may pass tonight or next week or next month…
