001 — early morning cuddles
• A/N: hehehehe wait this is so cute!!! could probably write a lil drabble based on it
his hands travelled along the expanse of your back in giant, languid circles, while the other rested underneath your head. the birds had started chirping outside the window, signalling the beginning of a new day. and yet neither of you wanted to leave the warmth of your bed. it was a holiday anyway, the perfect time to sleep in.
you snuggled a little closer into his chest and his eyes travelled past his chin, catching your eyes peering through your lashes.
‘morning,’ you whispered, eyes falling shut the next second. he responded with a fond chuckle, adjusting his body a little to hug you tighter.
you shook your head. ‘m’awake. just want to be held,’ you murmured, voice muffled by the thick fabric of his hoodie.
he smiled and rubbed your back once more, not feeling the need to break the peaceful silence. the birds outside started chirping a little louder, and for some reason, he’d started chirping along with their little song. it made you laugh and you lifted your head once more to look at him.
‘duet with the little birdies. they’re so talented.’
‘you’re ridiculous,’ you poked his cheek, and he giggled.
‘did you know it’s usually the male birds that sing? it’s their way to attract mates.’
he nodded in complete seriousness.
‘is that why you sing to me everyday?’ you raised your eyebrows, and he went quiet for a second, blinking wordlessly before a loud laugh resounded from the depths of his chest. here he was trying to share a fun fact with you and you decided to fluster him. heat travelled up his neck and he curled up, hiding his face in the crook of yours. ‘is that a yes or a no?’ you giggled, poking at his sides, making him squirm.
‘it’s a maybe,’ you heard a soft mumble, before his head nuzzled further into your neck, his ears red with embarrassment.
