I work at a movie theater that is open every day of the year. We could not request off for Christmas and skipping work on a holiday is a fireable offense. I worked 9 hours on my feet in excruciating pain, making my regular wages because holiday pay is not a thing at this company. I got screamed at repeatedly for ruining people’s family Christmas because they came in 10 minutes before a very popular movie on Christmas day and there wasn’t enough room for their 8 family members to sit next to them.
