The door softly clicks, the sound of shuffling following the sound. The two men quietly groan as they stand, with the taller one cracking his back. More shuffling follows, then glassware moving around, then hushed conversation over if they should stay up or go to bed, then a whistle and two cups of tea being poured.
Eddie sips his tea, speaking up for the first time since they left and leaving a lipstick mark on his cup. āThat was one heck oā a party, huh baby?ā
Frank groans softly, leaning his head against Eddieās shoulder with a sigh. The taller chuckles softly, wrapping his arm around Frankās waist and kissing his forehead. āLetās finish this tea anā get washed up, alright? Then weāll head ta bed, okay?ā Frank makes a noise similar to an āMhm,ā sipping his tea and furrowing his brow when he remembers that he still has his costume on, and heāll need to take it off.
Once done, Frank takes Eddieās hand in his own, walking upstairs as Eddie laughs about the smaller oneās grouchiness.
While drying themselves off, Eddie listens to Frankās rambles about Barnabyās irritating jokes, Wally following the hound around, and Julie roping him into everything she could. After they both put on their pajamas, Frank flops onto their bed in a starfish position, face in his pillow.
āEughā¦ I feel like I could sleep for forever!!ā
āWhy not? Julie sleeps for months on end, and sheās got more energy than all of us!ā
Eddie pauses, which makes Frank turn his head and see the man fiddling with his thumbs. āWellā¦ whatāll I do if ya sleep forever? Iāll miss ya!ā
Frank shakes his head, motioning Eddie over and clinging onto him when the mailman climbs onto the bed. āIt was a hyperbole, my dear.ā Eddie rolls his eyes with a smirk, pressing their foreheads together. āWell how was I sāposedta know that? Youāre usually so frank ābout everythinā!ā
Frank snorts, his whole body shaking with laughter at Eddieās words. Eddie laughs with him, holding him to his chest. The man runs his fingers through Frankās hair, twirling it lightly as he hears a soft hum of contentment from the other man. āIām surprised that ya didnāt fall right asleep when ya hit the bed,ā Eddie says playfully, nuzzling his nose into Frankās hair as he hears a playful scoff. Frank pokes his husband in the chest as he speaks up. āSpeak for yourself, handsome. You could barely keep your eyes open!ā
Eddie gasps dramatically, placing his hand against his chest on top of Frankās finger, gently pressing the smaller manās hand against his chest and letting his own hand lay atop it. āFor yer information,ā he starts, āyou werenāt the only one gettinā dragged about the whole place!ā Eddie says, turning his face away in mock offense, giggling right after.
The two laugh about it, and Eddie turns back, moving his hand and holding Frankās instead of pressing it to his heart. Eddie lifts Frankās hand up to his face, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of it and causing Frank to blush and smile broadly. āOh, arenāt you romantic?ā
Eddie exhales through his nose quickly, almost a laugh, as he leans forward and pecks Frankās nose. āOnly fer you, pumpkin.ā
Frank hums, wrapping his arms around Eddieās waist loosely and pressing a kiss to his lips instead. Pulling back, Eddie laughs softly.
āAnā you say Iām the romantic one.ā
