Change can be frightening but effective
It's the soul that's erotic.
my soul has trickled down from those who came before me
Just got overwhelmed by the idea of how many people have gone before me. Imagining how my great grandma was a young girl once, and so was my great great grandma, and so many people throughout the time of this world who are related to me but have never met me. That at some point in my family line, there was probably someone a lot like me. Who cried and got hurt and struggled and had her own troubles and things that made her laugh. She had a life and a crush and a best friend and maybe she loved the same things I love. She has reached me through the smile of her daughter and daughter's daughter. And she and all of them are connected to me in a way I can never fully understand. And perhaps someday, in my child's child or even further down the line, there will be a little girl or boy who hates feeling weak and loves chocolate but not tea. Who loves nature and talks to animals and has a mole on their left cheek, and when they tilt their head to the side someone will catch a glimpse of a girl who lives in an old photograph.
Does emptiness makes us want to be whole, or does it acknowledge that we already can be?
