Prepping for a big ol' biology conference around Halloween with a whole lotta art! My lab is cultivating probiotics to help corals combat Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease and requested I make a lil' advertisement for the stuff- so here's a box of what we now dub Coral Gogurt! (...It doesn't have the hyphen, I'm fine from lawyers probably)

Had fun going FULL 2000's Cartoon Network bumper for this one, and of y'all see how crazy those Fruit by the Foot commercials were? I dream of capturing that level of nonchalant body horror someday.

People expressed interest in seeing some of my plastic monsters I've been working on, so I'll be uploading modernized remakes of 'em on here! This one's Capperjack, a polymer-maid composed entirely of coastal waste and beverage containers! Usually she comes paired riding a plastic sea turtle mount, but the spotlight only has room for ONE shining treasure these days. More should be on the way once I finish up the artwork for my lab's bio retreat :)

Happy World Oceans Day!!! My lab requested a short comic about coral bleaching, and I'm mad proud of how it turned out! It may be pretty somber but remember, this is something worth fighting for! Do it for them!

Happy World Reef Awareness Day!!!!! This Pride Month is also World Ocean Month, so let's keep both the lands and seas rocking their beautiful rainbow colors <3 BTW the specific coral up here is an elkhorn coral, Acropora palmata!

At last it is donezo! Assignment was to add visual context to some pre-written lines, I… placed a ludicrous amount of effort into each and every detail. Those raindrops were torture. Worthy torture, though!

Part of an assignment where we’re creating the same story with different quantities of panels. So far I’ve got two of the three done, final one will be 36 panels!

A complete storyboard for my first assignment of the semester! Well, besides the storyboard of breaking into college. Went with the intro for Oogie Boogie’s song, pretty happy with how the perspective turned out!

First assignment of the new semester, a storyboard! Prompt was drawing our morning trip to college, this is pretty accurate for the most part although I may have taken (some) creative liberties. I do not actually own a drill. Yet.

Still making good progress on the pieces I’ve been meaning to finish. Finals were nuts but now that they’re over I have all the time I need! Still pretty burned out though, so I’m taking a break for a bit. Gotta recharge so this is as great as possible!
