In what turned out to be an exciting battle that ended in Rigondeaux stopping the challenger in the 11th rd, Rigondeaux was up on all the scorecards. Despite being down in the 7th rd twice, only one was a legit knockdown which Rigondeaux received a right hand to the jaw while attempting to pivot around his challenger Amagasa and the champ was floored while off balance. The second knockdown was a push and not legit but it fired Rigondeaux up & he began to dominate from the 8th rd up until he stopped Amagasa breaking both his jaw & his orbital bone in the process. Who will step up & fight the super bantamweight kingpin next?
