Children of rapists: one people group it is politically correct to despise and legally accepted, even encouraged, to destroy.

This is such a horrible and offensive thing to say to survivors of sexual assault and their children. 

Children who were born as a result of sexual assault should be loved, cared for, and treated just like any other child. 

People who have abortions after they have been sexually assaulted are not doing so because they “despise” the fetus or because they have been “encouraged to destroy” it. Did you ever think it might possibly be because the pregnant person has been sexually assaulted, may be experiencing emotional/physical turmoil, and doesn’t want to have a child with their rapist?

Did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, the pregnant person and their feelings matter too? That an embryo is not the only thing that matters in such an awful situation?

To say that someone choosing not to have their rapist’s child is equivalent to despising and “destroying” children is misguided and gross.
