He flashed an annoyed look over the rims of his glasses, but it was just as well that Rocky moved the conversation along. He’d rather not allow her the satisfaction of a reaction.

“25 CC’s,” He responded, continuing his work, “And then our little Creation will have a new friend of its very own,” He smiled. The Finger Creature waggled its little thumb from its perch on Rocky’s shoulder, seemingly just as excited as Herbert was by the prospect. The scientist finished assembling their newest amalgamation of dead tissues, and gazed down at the thing with pride. He held out his opened hand, ready for the loaded syringe.
