Put your little one in pullups - full time
Think about it - what reasons are there not to? On Paper, it’s just a bit of harmless kinky fun.
Seriously, there are no hard facts against it: Drynites/Goodnites are cheap - granted, not as cheap as wearing your decade old underpants, but definitely cheap enough to wear them on a daily basis. They aren’t noticeable in any way either - Yes, there is a little bit more material to hide under your pants than with regular underwear, but they are far from ABDL diapers that crinkle like crazy and are so thick that they show through any piece of clothing. And even if they were to show over low rise pants, they are not completely over the top and can definitely be mistaken for (childish) normal underwear.
The only difference to normal underwear is really that at the end of the day, they end up in the trash instead of the laundry bag. Other than that? It’s 100% possible to just go about your regular adult day. No waddling, no crinkling, no reason to ditch the toilet because you’d waste a 4$ diaper by ruining the tapes. Slide ‘em down, go for a wee, forget about them again.
So why will your little one protest once you try to enforce that?
Well, they know what effect those cute little drynites will have in reality. Yes, for an adult, the effect of wearing a goodnite is negligible. But your little is not a regular adult.
See, by putting them into a pull-up diaper, you aren’t forcing them to do anything. It is not a reason to wet themselves, in fact, as they are so thin and light it is actually adviseable to stay dry!
But it enables them to voluntarily act like a toddler at any point in time. Suddenly, letting out a few dribbles of pee does not result in wet pants in the workplace. Not wiping the last droplet off of your prince(ss) parts does not result in stained underwear. And at the end of the day, the pullup will vanish into the trash anyways.
With the consequences of their behavior diminished, they will choose to be little. Very often. And that is what they are scared of: Having to admit to themselves how much of a baby they really are.
But isn’t it exactly the goal of a caregiver to gently push their baby exactly into that direction?
