My trees are burning up partly because i dont water them every morning so I bought this auto valve I can set to open at a certain time for a certain amount of time and hooked it to a piece of PVC and drilled some holes in it.

tall grass, lilly pads, and flowers. going back to work on trees now
I need to mess with the normals some more, I might just make them flat later, I'm moving on for now though
got tall grass in game, working on flowers now
making a bridge
“Webfishing” has inspired me again. I drew a couple more things today. I want there to be a progression to fishing tools since it’s supposed to be a medieval-fantasy setting. Im really hesitant to add a reel to the rod but it makes it a lot more fun so maybe you’re going to find a whacky inventor somewhere in the world and you help them get things to make it. Anyways you start out with just a string with the hook on it and then move onto the long pole, with the string and hook on it. Maybe an extension pole next? And then the reel
The hand im going to toy with as first person UI
Roommates plants took over the dining table so I made a little shelf for them this morning. Still need to coat it with some protection though.
first tree wip
I've redone the face so I'm just using multiple layers of textures on one material now. I plan on adding a sprite sheet for the eyes so they blink, and I really want to do it for the mouth for when NPC's and players talk also. Anyways shooting for that y2k aesthetic, this morning I took some textures from a free unreal engine project and downsized them to 256 pixels for my own landscape material. I've also started working on my first tree and debating if I add any or too much ground foliage like grass if it will destroy the aesthetic, have to try it out I guess.
I smoothed out the dudes face a little bit about 2 days ago or so, but then i realized its looking kind of “ruins of luclin” everquest inspired instead of classic everquest…
and i hated those models. so now i think I need to go lower resolution on the textures and ill have to redo everything.
So, a little demoralized atm and just taking a little break. I did set the models uvs and textures up for vast customization though.
First hair and beard done. Supposed to be a nod to this original everquest character
okay, put him in a UE 5.5 Project because I want to play with megalights
Its been cold as hell and its finally starting to get warm. So it might be inspiring me a bit.
I started this guy a while back, maybe around christmas? Hes got a hair style and a beard almost made.
Anyways hes like a retro character, low res, low poly.
Texture painted his body today, its looking good.
With this project I was thinking it would be cool to see low poly low res characters, vintage but add some more details (triangle wise) than there would have been back in the day. Hard to explain but hopefully I can bring it to light. Well see
started on a 3D version of one
made a tree a couple weeks ago but didnt post it I guess. I thought it was too washed out, I was going to try to work on it some more but coming back to it today I didnt feel the same way, I still want to make a 3D version of it kind of like how I did the grass and after I make 3D versions of the "balls of leaves" I can make different variations of trees easier so they're not all the same. Thats the plan anyways.
Yesterday I drew a version of the player character holding an offhand item. This is for items that stack like pieces of wood or items you cant carry overhand like a big bomb - it could be for offering an npc an item or an npc offering an item to you. bunch of reasons to have it.
I made a key shelf recently. I was planning on making the supports hide the screw heads on the ends with like 2 wooden dowel pieces (one you can pull out from the top) to dismantle the support and get to the screw but then I was like “man this is just a key shelf” I’m not that bored. Cost me 12 bucks to make.
