I left you over a year ago. I left you after my best friend cried in front of me, about how I was losing myself. How I would never surcome to whst you had put me through. How an old friend came around and I couldn’t tell you without you having a fit.

I left you after you lied to me more times than I could count. I left you when you lied and tried to convince me I was crazy when I knew the truth. I left you when I realized what had been going on.

What they don’t tell you about manipulation, some is slow and precise. Done with such care you have convinced yourself it was what you wanted and deserved. They don’t tell you that part. Or how it will take what feels like a lifetime to remove the roots they plant inside you.

After a year my heart still drops I to my stomach when I see your name. Or if I see a stranger that resembles you. I avoid places.

How dare you try and seek answers you already know the answers too. How dare you stick your filthy paws where they don’t belong.

The little things in life people seem to take for granted. Start to stop and look for them, someone could of smiled at you when you were upset and you might not of realized that it made you happy. Today I was at the mall with a few friends I happen to have seen there. Two of them started to play songs on their guitars outside the mall, it was really peaceful. Then one happened to take his speaker out and played along to the song. Without realizing it I started to sing along while he played. Let me just tell you, it felt like total bliss. It didn’t matter what was happening around me, or the stressful things that have been happening. All that I cared about in that moment was singing along and enjoying myself with those people. The little things in life like that are worth more than you know. So take a moment to stop and enjoy the little things. They might just become some of your best memories.
