So I just watched this Radical 90's 😎 🎸⚡️ episode of The X-Files last night about this gamer incel who can control lightning and mercilessly kills Jack Black, but what I can't get over is in the scenes where they're in the arcade the sound department decided to just loudly play the music & gameplay sound effects of Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1 and call it a day. We even see footage of people playing Virtua Fighter 2 but we're still hearing Green Hill over all of it XD

unfortunately i do think its interesting to talk about the cultural impact of harry potter in the wake of jkr leading a hate group. like. there were people on the internet circa like 2010 who acted like they were uniquely good and interesting because they liked harry potter a lot. did that group talk about any other books? as a whole, not really. that was just like. a chunk of the internet for a while. and now i look back and go "those books weren't even THAT good"
