Will happiness ever find me?
I am uniquely wired to love the things that ruin me.
Reminder: There comes a time when you stop watering dead gardens.
29yo- I have learned that not everyone will reciprocate your efforts and that's okay. I still put my best foot forward because I want to without any expectations from others. I feel like l am a giver and now it doesn't hurt me when people don't care because their carelessness don't define me. Another thing I have been practicing is swallowing hard truths; especially about myself. Trying to see my own subconscious reasoning behind my actions. Being more interested in myself. I have also tried to be a better listener.
bathe in your own sunlight !!!!!!
O, can a heart be so full of grief, and yet not break?

I love people who make it so obvious they like you.
I didn’t realize how exhausting it was hanging out with people who made you question where you stood with them.
When someone makes it really clear that they like you, you stop overthinking. You start being yourself because you’re like, “oh, they actually like me.”
one of my psychology professor’s greatest hits: the closer someone is to you, the more you treat them as you treat yourself. it’s as though they eventually enter the sphere of your inner world.
we have to stop being cruel to ourselves or we will be cruel to others, in time. i don’t make the rules and i don’t obey them and my loved ones have paid the price.
be so in love with your life that nobody’s absence or presence alters your peace.
I think one of the most heartfelt experiences in life is discovering that someone genuinely enjoys your presence. Not what you provide, Not your accomplishments. Just you, your thoughts, your energy, your existence.
It also reminds you that the right people make you feel comfortable, not like you constantly have to earn your place.
Not many people will experience this , but the people who do are very lucky . These days people love conditionally . But if I ever find someone who would genuinely enjoy my presence I’ll hold them till my last breath
