Hold on tight! - You're about to cross the Montezuma Falls suspension bridge with @dutchieslife. Montezuma Falls, near Rosebery on Tassie's West Coast, is the state's highest waterfall. This easy, three-hour return walk begins at Williamsford, two kilometres south of Rosebery, and takes you to the base of the 104 metre falls through rainforests of leatherwood, myrtle, sassafras and giant tree ferns. The track follows the historic route of the former North East Dundas Tramway right to the base of Montezuma Falls - and a neck-craning reward for your efforts! A fairytale setting for a fairytale wedding... @jonathanwherrett recently photographed this special day at the historic @SheneTasmania, a 30-minute drive from downtown @HobartandBeyond. Established in 1819, Shene Estate's colourful colonial past has direct links with King George III and Governor Lachlan Macquarie. Breathtaking reflections and morning mist at the base of Eldon Bluff in @TasmaniasNW, thanks to @natureloverswalks, who captured this image during a 10-day expedition through the region earlier this year. Located north-east of Lake Burbury in Tassie's remote western wilderness, the Eldon Range forms part of the Tasmanian World Heritage Wilderness Area. Thanks to our low levels of light pollution, Tassie has a reputation as one of the best locations in the southern hemisphere for viewing and photographing the Southern Lights - or Aurora Australis. @Jasonlstephens was recently reminiscing about the night he captured this stunning shot over Mount Roland in @TasmaniasNW. Daybreak over the Cradle Plateau with @natureloverswalks. It takes about one hour to do the gradual climb from the Dove Lake carpark to Marion's Lookout and the beginning of the Cradle Plateau. From here, the world famous Overland Track winds for 65 kilometres through World Heritage wilderness before reaching the shores of Lake St Clair in the south. It's easy to see why these landscapes leave a lasting impression on all who visit. Family adventures are definitely a popular pastime in @HobartandBeyond! @hevybear snapped this pod of Short-beaked common dolphins when en-route to The Friars with @pennicottjourneys ' Bruny Island Cruises. Part of the Actaeon Island Group, The Friars are four steep dolerite rocks that mark the southern entrance to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel between Bruny Island and the Tassie mainland. Part of the South Bruny National Park, they're also an important habitat for Australian and New Zealand fur seals. Next landfall south?... Antarctica. True, it's generally considered rude to stare. Not so much in Tassie when you're at a location like Liffey Falls in @NorthernTasmania. @ontheroadwithsean recently visited these mesmerising cascades, which are located on the flanks of the Great Western Tiers mountain range about 40 minutes' drive southwest of Launceston. It's the weekend; time to drop anchor and just relax... @_danieltran_ was on @EastCoastTasmania recently and snapped this idyllic scene when exploring the Freycinet National Park with @wineglassbaycruises. During the week parts of Tassie were treated to a fluffy winter prelude.
