It feels like a lot of people have absorbed the idea that "Being mean is good!" without understanding why a lot of meanness exists and is in some ways encouraged in progressive spaces, and this leads to mean behavior being directed at intracommunity targets.
Being a mean gay is not about being shitty to your bisexual neighbor, it's about standing up to his shitty mom and telling him to get in your car, he doesn't have to stay under her roof.
Being a mean trans person isn't about being an asshole to people with neogenders, it's about being up in the face of people refusing to respect the pronouns of neogender people.
Being a mean disabled person isn't about dunking on people with "lesser" disabilities, it's about being utterly obstinate to abled people insistent that they can't possibly give accommodations for "just" that.
Being a mean marginalized person is something that you direct at people and systems directly and currently causing harm. Not at people you think have it easier than you. That is a lot harder to do. It's a lot of work. But if you're not willing to direct it at the right targets, then you are not just a dick, you are actively degrading solidarity and harming everyone in your community.
!!!!!!!!
This is the first step in radicalising yourself and becoming aware of the fact that shit won't change from being nice.
I think we as queer people can say that we learned that from our history, we didn't gain rights because we were nice, but because we fought for them. Always keep that in mind. We have to fight our oppressors, not convince them to merely tolerate us.
Fight like a girl. Like a trans person. Like your poc. Like your queer. Like your poor. Like your disabled.
Because when we revolt, then they will have no choice but to step back. When we protest, our voices are louder than their hate. When we scream, our anger overthrows their oppression.
When we stand together, united as one block that will fight, we will win.

This is so ominous?? What does this mean? Who broke the bottles? What are they telling me about my dreams?
Who knows.....
"Concept: steal. I personally "borrow" baked goods from the big chain supermarket next to my School daily. And none notices. Do it." I do see your point and I don't entirely disagree but I feel the need to ask (not that you have to answer obviously). Are you perchance white. Because if you are please keep in mind that it is much much easier for you to get away with stealing than it is for people of color. And if you are white that may be one of the big reasons that no one notices and you haven't gotten in trouble
Yep im white, thanks for the input first of all! Haven't looked at it from that perspective, very valid point. But I think it's also notable that I kind of understemated (englisch?) How easy it is to "borrow" there, you have these self check out things and just scan 1! Thing and then walk out. But I see how racial prejudice plays into this, so thanks for pointing that out!
So with gas being so expensive and groceries also being more expensive grocery shopping is becoming a whole *thing* now. The cheaper grocery stores are down the highway while the more expensive hip grocery stores are on my street… lots of pro and con-ing going on. basically I’m saying tear down Whole Foods and build an Aldi thanks
!!! “a different kind of food desert”
Oh heavens the wealthy among us struggle as they finally succumb to their expensive, impractical, and over gentrified neighborhoods. I pity them.
this is clearly about poor people living in areas that have been gentrified and taken over by the rich. read the screenshot again. do you seriously think ‘the wealthy among us’ are the ones struggling to feed their families on SNAP
This is a real problem in cities like London. You get areas where people have social housing, but all the surrounding shops and cafes are insanely overpriced. One of my mates has a council flat in Pimlico. If she’s too tired to cook and wants to eat out, she can’t just walk down the road.

Been looking for inspiration…
