We need more romance options in video games where sex scenes are completely optional and choosing not to have sex does not automatically end a romance.

Romantic asexual people deserve to have a the choice to be able to pursue romance options without having to feel limited due to being sex-repulsed.

Hell, this is a massive reason why I will always defend Blackwall's romance. The Arcana Visual novel (at least in regards to one paid choice in Muriel's route), Dragon Age Inquisition and the Fallout games are the only games I can think of where you can choose between having sex or not, and the relationship is not impacted, except for maybe perks or dialogues or what have you. And I especially appreciate as an ace person who is mostly sex neutral (which changes depending on my mood) that Blackwall's romance has a choice for you not to have sex. In my opinion, the sex scene is not really where I believe my Inquisitor and Blackwall would first have sex (I like the narrative implications of headcanoning them only getting their freak on after Revelations).

Of course, this is not to any way discredit relationships or characters where sex is important to a relationship (Including but not limited to Halsin, Iron Bull, Isabela, Zevran or hell even Astarion if the whole point is more about an abuse victim having agency than about embracing sex). It's just that asexual people should be allowed to enjoy romances with characters they love without without feeling like they have to have sex or end the relationship entirely.

I wanted to address a recent post I had to delete because of a mistake I made.

In a recent meme, I drew a design for Muriel as if he were in the Forgotten Realms, which the original creators of the Arcana have stated he would be a Firbolg in. Unfortunately, due to the Firbolg's canon features, I was informed that I was perpetuating harmful stereotypes about a POC character, which included changing skin colour. It does not matter if I should or should have known better, or what canon Forgotten Realms lore says, because what matters is the action and the harm that I have caused.

Which is why I want to say, I am deeply sorry for my ignorance.

As a white artist, it is important to be aware of the position I am in and how my portayel of characters, irregardless of whether it is canon or fan interpretation. I will be using this as a reminder to uplift creators of colour on this page, knowing I have a massive privilege over them, and to do better research when it comes to portrayels to display differenr cultural groups and racial backgrounds respectifully.

If you are not white, this apology is not for you. It is also not for you to tell POC fans how to feel. This apology is to own up for my mistakes and take responsibility, and people of colour have no obligation to forgive me for anything. I am obligated to understand what I did wrong and to learn and do better.

Hearing the news of Daveigh Chase passing away at such a young age a few days ago is heartbreaking.

In spite of Disney's questionable actions, I can still admit how important the movie Lilo and Stitch was for my childhood. Being able to see a child like Lilo who didn't fit the norm, was made an Outcast by her peers because of it, but still didn't change who she was in the end, it was really a comfort for me.
