I absolutely admire how Hoshoryu can deal with all the shit that's being put out there about him. He has to be an absolute beast mentally as well!

I used to hope that he's blissfully ignorant of it all, but that hope was destroyed during the London trip when he was talking about the huge billboards with their faces on them: "Oh yeah, I've seen those, they're on SNS!" And that's when I knew that Hosh, unfortunately, is aware of everything

Tatsuosho is retiring 😢

This is the first retirement of a Tatsunami rikishi since I started following them closely, and it kinda hits hard. (I’m not counting Teruyutaka here, as he barely dipped in / dipped out.)

All the best for your future projects, I’ll sure miss seeing you among the boys!

This basho has been heartbreaking so I want to focus on the good things:

Roga 9-6, and winning 6 in a row in the end. He will be at his highest rank next basho

The whole of Futagoyama doing really really well, 3 tied for the mk championship

My faves Tsukioka and Kotakiyama going 6-1 and 5-2 respectively

Nabatame back in juryo!!

Atamifuji, despite missing the yusho, has shown ozeki level sumo

Shishi!! I shi-live that this is only the beginning. That bout with Kotoeiho was the highlight of the tournament

the jsa told me shishi keeps eating their promotees so i asked how many they have and they said they just go to juryo and get a new one next basho and i said it just sounds like they're feeding their prometees to shishi and chairman hakkaku started crying
