This is kinda a scene from a fanfiction that my friend wrote (but never posted) where Edric interrupts a confrontation between Hunter, Luz, and Amity and without knowing he’s the Golden Guard, Ed drags Hunter away, much to the protest of everybody, and makes it his mission for the day to help “this poor soul in desperate need for a nap and new outfit” in any way that he can

huntric soulmate au where you share dreams with your soulmate but until you meet them you can’t fully see their face or tell them anything identifying. Hunter (and Edric) used to love nothing more than going to sleep and spending his dreamscape with his one true love, until he mentioned it once to Belos and found out that soulmate dreams are wild magic. 

Hunter couldn’t stop the dreams, so he stopped sleeping instead, making sure that when he did sleep he was too exhausted to enter the dreamscape… and Edric spent the next few years thinking his soulmate was gone forever.
