HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET WARCRIMINAL I LOVE YOUUU MWAHHH
Looking in the right place!
random scene that I wanted to write up immediately that didn't fit anywhere plot-wise... messy since i wrote parts of it at 1am... also lets pretend videos and messages are permanently deleted immediately instead of going to a recycling bin lol

Zoé glares at Ray, who’s holding his phone up to show her the video he has of her back in New York. She isn’t proud of who she was before but she was taking steps to move forward as a person. The video wasn't really a threat, she had already told her friends that she was a bully, but it made her feel both guilty and nervous regardless.
“Zoé!” a voice calls from behind Ray. “How long did you plan on keeping me waiting?”
Zoé and Ray turn to see Chloé, eyes focused solely on her sister. “You tell me to come see you and you make me wait?" Chloé walks into the room, "I have things to do, you know. I had to clear my schedule for today and you know how much I hate taking the train.”
“Who are you-?!” Ray demands. Chloé looks at him in disbelief.
“I’m sorry,” Chloé says with apparent disgust as she gave him a once over, “Are you speaking? To me? Ew.”
Chloé turns to Zoé, “You need to pick better people to surround yourself. I refuse to let people say my sister associates with,” She threw another disgusted glance at Ray, “people like him. Whatever it is you're doing with this loser, hurry up. Brother dearest,” Chloé rolls her eyes at the nickname, “is waiting for me to get back. You and I have better things to do.”
“Do you know who I am??”
“Do you have amnesia or something? I'm not a phone book. Go to a doctor.” Chloé cringes as she looks him up and down again, “You might have more going on than just memory problems.”
The phone in Ray’s hand catches Chloé’s attention, causing her to scowl at it. With no hesitation, she closes the distance between herself and Ray, grabbing the phone and holding it up to show Zoé.
“You look hideous. How could you let someone take a video of you looking like that?”
Chloé gracefully dodges and deflects Ray's pathetic attempts at getting his phone back. She quickly sends the video to her phone, deletes the sent message on Ray’s phone, then deletes the video.
“I knew it was a bad idea to let a woman with no mayoral experience be in charge of the city. They're letting gross nobodies in now.” Chloé tosses the phone back to Ray, who stumbles trying to catch it, and taps at her phone as she walks away, muttering. “I can't believe I left London to visit this dumpster of a school.”
Ray stood there, mouth slightly open, for a moment before coming to his senses. “Come back here!”
“I'd rather not.”
“I'll tell everyone what you did!” Ray yells.
“No one is going to believe you!” Chloé yells back.
Zoé stifles a laugh as she shoves him aside to follow her sister.
Bonus:
Ray angrily walked up to Zoé the following morning, catching the attention of her friends as well as those standing around the courtyard.
“Do you think I would let you and your sister get away with what happened yesterday??” He says, loudly, using his phone to point at Zoé. “Messing someone's phone is a crime!”
“Ray….” Zoé says, feigning confusion. “I have no idea what you're talking about… You're holding your phone right now…”
“You-!” Ray takes a step forward.
“Hey! Leave her alone!” Alya butts in, getting between Ray and Zoé.
The others chime in in Zoé’s defense, bystanders whispering among themselves.
Ray looks around and notices the attention they were getting. He decides to withdraw for now, heading to class and muttering something about “getting back at her” as he walks away with his cronies.
“Did he just say ‘brother’…?” Kim asks no one in particular.
“What was that about..?” Alya asks Zoé.
“Dunno.” Zoé shrugs, “We never got along back in New York, so maybe he's trying to pick a fight? He's always been kinda weird.”
“Does he even know who Chloé is?” Juleka asks.
“Probably. She's pretty infamous. Not sure why he would bring her up…”
“Maybe to cause negative association?” Max suggests, “If people associate you with someone as negative as Chloé they might have a bad impression of you, too.”
The group starts offering other theories, most of them similar to what Max suggested. Zoé was content to listen to them further the misunderstanding and make Ray look worse.
Adrien and Sabrina both look at each other then at Zoé. She gives both of them a quick smile before going back to looking confused like everyone else. She had better tell them the whole story in the group chat later.
NICE
Snippet from my drafts of a sole crusher rewrite that I've had rotting in development hell for like a year now:
Jean-Armand finally led her to a door that honestly looked exactly the same as every other hotel suite here. He knocked and an ear piercing screech answered with “YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!” There were some suspicious thunking sounds from inside the room and then Zoe was practically toppled over by the force with which the door opened. She was greeted by a the most intense glare she had ever seen—and for Zoe, that was saying something.
Her sister was a couple inches shorter than her and looked almost put together. Her platinum-blond beach waves were tossed into a high ponytail that looked a little mussed, like something had caught at her hair. The large sunglasses perched on her forehead that looked uncomfortably similar to Audrey’s were knocked askew. While her bold blue eyeshadow was immaculate, her white lipstick was smudged at the corner. Her shiny yellow cardigan that probably cost more than Zoe’s entire wardrobe was a little bit rumpled at the front, and her black and white striped top was only halfway tucked into her blindingly white pants.
She sized up Zoe warily and then spotted Jean-Armand out of the corner of her eyes. “Jean-Claude,” she snapped firmly. “Who is this and why is she outside my door half an hour before school starts?”
“This is your half-sister Zoe, Mademoiselle. You were told she was coming to live with you two days ago. Remember?” Chloe squeezed her eyes shut and pinched the bridge of her nose. She started muttering under her breath but Zoe didn’t catch much beyond several swear words and “thought I had some peace.”
***
Before Zoe could process what was happening, she was shoved toward the bed and Chloe was on the other side of the room throwing the closet door open. Does she want to change my outfit? Zoe wondered. She hoped not. She really didn’t want to have to come up with an excuse to keep her jacket. But instead of a stylish garment, Chloe was pulling a person out of the closet.
What?
Zoe did a double take. And then a triple take because she was still convinced her eyes were wrong. Did. . . did Chloe just have a person living in her closet? Did she have some sort of secret hotel exit in there that the person had come from? Was Chloe secretly a vampire who was keeping a blood sacrifice to feed on and was now trying to initiate Zoe into the coven somehow?
Okay it probably wasn’t the last one, but that definitely would have been the coolest option. The person was a girl, almost a full-head shorter than Zoe with short orange hair, large round glasses, and a really cute sweater vest that Zoe didn’t think was Style-Queen approved. Was that why she’d been in the closet? The girl was also looking significantly more rumpled than Chloe and blushing so hard she looked like a tomato. She gave Zoe a shy little wave and Zoe noticed the white lipstick stain on her mouth.
Oh. Zoe’s admiration for her half-sister suddenly swelled. It officially didn’t matter to Zoe if Chloe was literally the devil incarnate. She had the guts to kiss girls in the same building as the Style Queen, which was something Zoe could never do in a million years. Technically, she had no idea if her mother was homophobic, but she had a strong suspicion that it didn’t matter—anything that could be used as ammunition when critiquing her daughters would be used. And Chloe clearly had a similar thought process if this cute girl’s position in the closet meant anything.
***
Here came the part Zoe dreaded. Here came the instructions on cruelty. Here came the demands to eat or be eaten. “Lesson number one: If you see me and Sabrina kissing, no you didn’t. You say something to ANYONE and I end you.” Well. Okay, Zoe could definitely understand that one.
Ha! Beautiful.
If you ever need a good laugh, remember there are people out there calling show Alicent "the straightest woman on earth"

I depressed myself with a thought, and now I'm sharing it to depress you too.
The scene shows Chloe, as a very unstable and powerful akuma, somehow obtaining Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous. She puts them on with the clear intention of using the wish for herself.
The whole team, panicking, starts wondering what terrible wish Chloe Bourgeois will make. Will it be more power? To steal Ladybug's life? To never have lost the Bee?
And then she turns her head to Plagg and asks, "How do I wish myself out of existence?"
Fortunately, they managed to stop her before she made the wish because she got distracted arguing with Tikki about the equivalent exchange part (after all, what would be the point if her replacement would be just like her?).
Extra: Akuma Chloe is very confused as to why the heroes want so badly to prevent her from making her wish. After all, with how everyone has made it clear that they don't want her in their lives, it should count as a kind and selfless act, right?
OUCH
Crickets my ass
Oh Homura...
yesterday I got the "are you a boy or are you a girl" question from a six-year-old, and I told her that some people aren't boys or girls (like me!) I was expecting her to be a little confused, but she nodded thoughtfully and said, "wow, just like snails."
wow just like snails <3
I've been following anons "Zoe realizes Chloe had depth" fic with interest, it also led me to imagining a scene to the effect of like:
Chloe placed a well manicured hand over her eyes for just a moment, a steady breath was almost perfectly obscured save for the subtle shake in the air. Then the window to vulnerability vanished, Chloe's piercing blue eyes were back on her and Chloe's poise was firm and strong as she spoke:
"What is the point in this? What exactly do you want from me?"
That question, that retort rolled in her mind as she looked to Adrien who seemed equally unsure on what to say and even more nervous. Finally she bit the bullet and answered:
"I don't want anything from you I just... Want to understand you better?"
"That's a lie," Chloe said bluntly, blandly, not even angrily. It was like she was commenting on what color of beige a wall was.
"Its not a lie Chlo-" Adrien said, when a hiss slipped out from her lips.
"Do not call me that, we are not- You are not!" Chloe stopped herself again, fingers flexing, teeth disappearing behind painted lips. But it was too late, an Akuma was surging towards her and struck even as they shouted a warning!
Zoe began reaching for Pollen and wondering how to evacuate Adrien when the purple ripples engulfing Chloe stopped, violently. Her body thrashed violently as she snarled and then roared.
"No one asked for your input cretin!" Her voice was unnaturally loud, explosively so and the Akuma energies tore themselves off her frame as if in terror and the Akuma hurtled away into the sky.
Chloe stood before them, panting for just a moment before forcing air into her lungs and tidying herself. When they made to speak a hand shout out as she tucked a final golden strand of hair behind her ear. Then she spoke, all the focus and quiet fury from moments before back but somehow the energy was gone and she just seemed tired.
"Despite what people think of me I do learn and so I am only going to explain this once. I know you want something from me because that's why anyone ever seeks me out. There's no other reason to want me."
Adrien moved to speak but Chloe was faster.
"Adrien wanted a way out of the manor, Sabrina wanted to feel useful and have presents, and Lila wanted a catspaw." She was coutning off on her fingers as she continued. "Mommy and Noe want a product for propaganda, Ladybug & Hawk Mother wanted a fire and forget weapon and daddy," The word came out like acid on her tongue. "He wanted a substitute for mother dearest."
Chloe's counted fingers closed into fists, "It took me awhile but I did learn that I don't get to be wanted for myself, only for how I can be useful. That's why you didn't stick around once you saw how hated I was, I had nothing you wanted, I wasn't useful and being useful is the only thing I can do to be wanted."
She stepped closer to both of them, her words cold but tired and worn.
"So don't bother trying to trick me into thinking that either of you are here for anyone but yourselves. Stop wasting my time with fanciful lies and tell me how you want to use me, so we can be done here."
OOF
"if i was orpheus i would simply not turn around" yes you would. if you were orpheus and you loved eurydice, you would. to love someone is to turn around. to love someone is to look at them. whichever version of the myth — he hears her stumble, he can't hear her at all, he thinks he's been tricked — he turns around because he loves her. that's why it's a tragedy. because he loves her enough to save her. because he loves her so much he can't save her. because he will always, always turn around. "if i was orpheus i would simply —" you wouldn't be orpheus. you wouldn't be brave enough to walk into the underworld and save the person you love. be serious
Kyouko fell first. Sayaka fell harder after she died.
Imagine being a newly ascended magical girl archangel and suddenly being privy to what amounts to your existence in an effective multiverse and you get to see yourself mostly fall to despair and die over and over again. And through all that darkness there's that girl who in your last life before ascending you were kinda starting to be friends with and kinda hated. And she tries so hard in to save your soul from despair even though you know and she probably knows its useless, going so far as to die for you over and over again just so you don't have to be alone in your despair and death. A girl who, inadvertently through your own follies, you save from a cynical life and a very likely ignoble end and who, in the end, finds meaning to her life if for one brief brilliant moment in trying to save you.
I think there's also the likelihood that Sayaka realized the tragedy of their existence that they were basically exactly what the other needed in their lives to counterbalance each other and save each other were it not for the situation of their existence as magical girls.
And Sayaka can't do anything for this girl who has literally given up her soul for her time and again because she's dead and kyouko is not. But she so dearly wants to. Wants to repay her for all that she's done. Wants to appreciate her back. Hell, maybe just wants the opportunity to meet this girl who fate has clearly bound her to so tighty under less cruel circumstances. To tease her back and kick her ass and have a life together if they can.
And then her best friend/god comes to her with a mission and...

“How is Ms. Ladybug? I haven't seen her for a while?” Armand asked.
Chat Noir took the glass and drank it all in one go. “It's… been a little quiet recently. She’s got new responsibilities, and I’m just me.”
Chloé meanwhile, was angry. “That purse was my life, Sabrina! And you, you have gone and lost it!”
“Well sorry for holding everything for you!” Sabrina pointed out, her own look angry. “I just wanted to help you, you know!”
“You’re always helping, that’s the problem!” Chloé yelled back. “Why can’t you just let me do my own thing?”
The two of them kept squabbling, and Chat Noir leaned towards Armand and whispered, his voice a little bit hopeful. “Be careful, something tells me an akuma is going to show up!”
Sabrina whispered. “If I’m not useful, then I’m not a good person. I’m not a good friend.”
Chloé put her hands on Sabrina’s shoulders. “You’re perfectly useful, Sabrina. Honestly, you’re too useful, all the time with no rest. You’ll make mistakes if you never take time for yourself. I can replace a purse, but I can’t replace you.” They pulled each other into a hug.
Aw
ngl it would be funny if Chloe was the only one who actually Jean's name right. Like it actually is just Jean. Unsure where Zoe gets Armand, maybe that's what Andre calls him and Andre also gets it wrong though maybe not on purpose... Chloe comes back and visits Jean who we have to assume has been fired from the hotel, and Zoe sees her with Jean and gets defensive. Zoe says something like "stop bothering Armand!" and Chloe is just "who's Armand???" Jean having to break it to Zoe that his name isn't Armand.
FUCKIN RIP
Short Youjo Senki fic idea
Lotte: Second Lieutenant Serebryakov is so dignified, isn't she?
Grantz: Yes, she's incredible. As expected from the Major's right hand.
Lotte, whispering: Oh, here she comes!
Grantz, shuddering: She looks so serious
Lotte: What could she be thinking about?
Grantz: Probably something of incredible importance.
Meanwhile, Visha, thinking: Does the Major like dark chocolate? I wonder if she'd like to try some. I do have extra from Erya's latest letter...
