DEAD DOVE DO NOT EAT
RULES
//WARNING
Bane is evil, even when he is charming, and seducing with power and all that. He is an evil God who, at the end of the day, wants to enslave everyone else below him. His old motive for that might be sad but doesn't make him redeemable. He IS a side muse. Don't think you can ever change him.
Also, lots of Homebrew as I pick and choose from Lore what I like and throw in my own headcanons too 👍
//MORTAL
The mortal who would be Bane was born on Abeir, Toril's linked twin planet/parallel universe. There he was a nameless battle slave to Maram of the Great Spear - an ancient primordial being of absolute evil whom the Netherese had summoned into the world, where it broke free and started inflicting horrors upon the world. But with every day "Bane's" craving to one day stand above everything and all so no one could ever hurt him again grew endlessly.
He met his companions, and one of them would become his lover. Together, they'd defeat his evil master, taking some of his power for themselves. But unable to be satiated, they moved on to Jergal, asking or demanding his powers from him. And Jergal offered them. After a game that Bane won, he chose strive, hatred, and tyranny as his realms.
Bhaal became his servant, and possibly there should have been a happy ending. But Bane was never happy, and neither was Bhaal. Once lovers turned into enemies full of hatred. One craves to end the worlds, the other to rule everything.
//POWERS
Many, and some he lost, and some he got back. But he still is a powerful god, or once again during Baldur's Gate, else he'd not be able to have a chosen or give them power. He is a God that gets his powers from nearly every evil or even neutral deet, he rarely is down for long, even when defeated.
//CLERGY
Anyone can join his ranks, anyone of any alignment can join. Usually, power corrupts them eventually. The revolters ask for power from Bane to fight against their oppressors, becoming the next oppressors. The good-aligned ones amuse him. Because they find so many excuses why THEIR tyranny and slaughter of others is good. The world isn't black and white, but everything will kneel for him.
