The words you think/say matter
You don't have to make yourself so small;
Your laugh isn't too loud.
You aren't taking up too much space.
Your needs aren't a burden.
Give yourself the space to be the full person you are, you deserve it just as much as anyone else.
The goal is not to meet neruotypical life milestones and ideas of independence. The goal is to have a life where you are happy and have the support you need.
🔊 SAY IT LOUDER 🔊
coming soon:
good things, hopefully
Hot take but actively trying to be a good person,,,, makes you a fundamentally good person
If you're mentally ill, a lot of your thoughts and feelings will be completely irrational bullshit no matter how true they feel. So make a habit of questioning your brains conclusions and don't uncritically accept everything you think or feel. Cause if your brain is sick, then a big part of it WILL be bullshit and it's important to be aware of that and act on it.
switch your mentality from “i’m broken and helpless” to “i’m growing and healing” and watch how fast your life changes, for the better.
Now is a great time to look forward to the next year intentionally. Write down your goals in detail. Make a vision board. What do you want 2020 to bring to you? Believe that good things are possible.
gentle reminder
try to do what’s best for you. not for someone else. for you.
the whole idea of “stay in school!!!!” is great and all but hard to hear when you’re someone who couldn’t stay in school
so here’s a post for every person who’s had to drop out of school. whether it was do to illness or money or just because you didn’t want to be there, you’re no less of a person for dropping out. you own your own life, and you’re just as important as people who were able to graduate

you know when someone you don’t know very well compliments your personality, and your first instinct is to brush it off and tell yourself “but they don’t really know me”? let go of that thinking. when someone you don’t know compliments you it’s because that part of you stands out to them !! whether its your kindness, your sense of humour, your intelligence, don’t brush off these compliments — they aren’t less true!
