Hello! This is the sideblog of @dragonsruby for everything related to Aladdin from Disney's Aladdin franchise, which will include roleplaying, text posts, random thoughts, and the like. @right-hand-of-the-black-sand is my sideblog for Mozenrath from the same franchise.

There are no general rules, but I will give some suggestions and content warnings.

If you want me to respond in-character, add something along the lines of "For Aladdin" or "To Aladdin" in your ask or comment. Otherwise, I'll choose between responding in-character or out of character, occasionally at random.

One of the main things I am not comfortable with RPing is cheating or intentional adultery. With that in mind, any stories/roleplays that involve Aladdin being romantically involved with a character apart from Jasmine will either take place in the past or in an AU.

Some of my posts may contain some heavier or adult content like swearing or talks of abuse. I'll try to put everything in the tags (generally as "TW: Abuse" or "CW: Abuse") but just keep that in mind.

I'll certainly try to keep everything as accurate as I can, but please keep in mind that I am a very white woman running an account featuring and RPing a Middle-Eastern man from the 1400s/1500s. I will definitely get things wrong. If you have any corrections or just general information to give, feel free to let me know on any one of my accounts! ...And sorry in advance.

If I don't respond quickly, just imagine that I'm that one Thinker statue. I promise I'm not ignoring you.

Letting out a laugh, followed by a warm smile, she carefully took hold of the delicate flower before giving it a whiff. “Oh, Aladdin. It smells lovely.” She took the flower and carefully tucked it behind her ear. “You are always going out of your way to surprise me. I don’t know what I would do without you.”

Aladdin's face was definitely getting more pink now. He let out another short, awkward laugh, looking down at her hand. After a moment of staring, he took her hand in his and raised it up to his lips, pressing a light kiss on her fingers.

After a moment of silence from Aladdin, he lowered her hand.

"...How is- uh- the meeting going? With the... ambassadors?"

'...The meeting that I deliberately am hiding from,' he thought.

Aladdin let out a small, nervous laugh as an awkward grin spread across his face. He placed his hands on Jasmine's shoulders... then moved them down to her own hands, worrying that the touch may seem invasive.

"I- uh- Yeah! I- um- try to!"

Aladdin cleared his throat and looked away, his face flushing a light shade of pink. Why was he getting all flustered now?!

I just found out about the comic where Aladdin goes back in time and meets his mom so… AU where Zena became the King of Thieves instead of Cassim

It cracks me up that Aladdin and Jasmine's child is named Aziz in the Descendants lore because look at the sweetest kid that could do no wrong here.

And then consider that in the 1995 Aladdin: The Series, Aladdin's chronological first main villain is the circus performer and later literal goblin Aziz, who was part of the whole reason Aladdin ever met Abu.

Also, Aziz ultimately dies when he explodes from overuse of his magic and he turns into three stars above Agrabah.

So combine the two canons, and it essentially becomes

"Father, was I named after the triplet stars that shine over Agrabah?"

"...Uh... Yeah! Yeah, Aziz! You were!"

Aladdin's heart skipped a beat as he heard his lover's voice. He looked over at the princess, then down at the flower he held that now sported a bent petal, then back to Jasmine.

"Jasmine! I- uh-" Aladdin stammered, looking down again at his white trousers which were now stained with dirt and sand. He looked up and then offered the slightly-damaged flower to the princess. "...Usual antics!"

At this point, what didn't qualify as his usual antics?
