Thoughts sort of sorted and already excited for tomorrow’s art/Art studies exam!
-Dreaming of travels but the career is pending.
-When med school deprives you of a normal social life and just about every holiday.
-It’s all about the temporary sacrifice!
Finally finished - looking forward
I am proud to announce that I, Olivia, have pretty much/nearly/three more exams left have completed 13 years of schooling. I have strayed from being the studious person I used to be, but I didn’t lose my drive for learning, I just changed my mind on what and how I liked to learn. Higher education (uni) is on the cards but I haven’t quite made up my mind. Truth is I want a break, and I want time to find myself. It’s funny the point I am at now with my attitude towards all things academic, exams especially, old me would have been shocked to see how I’m approaching exams (no cue cards, no pretty notes none) but I just got to a point where I decided against being highly strung out or trying to ace or please this system. I want to learn for me and not for a grade and I want to do it on my terms. Here’s to a bright, fruitful and full of learning future.
I went for a three hour bike ride, made some delicious baked oatmeal and now I’m ready to study a bit. Statistics is not my best course but I’ll try my best!
Here’s some pics I constantly look at to inspire me to keep studying/learning/working hard. All about that law of attraction ⭐️⚡️🌈
Here is a masterpost that i have created for you. It has a lot of printables that would help you become more organised in your school year.

“for homework revise everything that we have studied so far” oh ok…
concept: waking up early, eating a healthy breakfast, going for a run, drinking enough water, finishing assignments on the first day and not last minute, having clear skin, not being stressed 24/7,
For some reason I feel like many studyblrs have been wiped off the face of the earth?? Where are you guys? Reblog so I can follow and give some love! 💓
Holiday homework lets do this
My study space & materials today, complete with a toasted graham latte ☕️ (first time trying it & I thought it was pretty good!). I’m spending today and tomorrow studying for a contracts law midterm so if I take longer to respond to messages, don’t fret, I still love you!
I hope you are all staying warm and dry in this Joaquin weather! ☔️💨
Writing a report ☕️☕️
15 things I tell myself when I don't want to work/study
1. You are very lucky and privileged to have access to almost unlimited knowledge and you should appreciate that. 2. Be one of those rare people who step over their insecurities and succeed. 3. Only 5 minutes. Only today. (Repeat it 5 minutes later and every day). 4. You will know what to do as soon as you start. Ideas never appear from inactivity. 5. Make yourself proud. 6. One hour every day doesn’t feel much but it’s 365 hours a year. You can’t not succeed after so much work. 7. It’s not supposed to be easy. Nothing good is easy. 8. If you had a child to look after, you’d make them study because you want them to accomplish something. Don’t you love yourself? 9. “Everything you want is on the other side of fear” George Adair 10. Every mistake increases our chance to make progress. 11. If you give up now, you’ll have to return to this later anyway but from the very beginning. 12. Let the process be your result. 13. Every moment you thought your fears would suppress you has become the time you made it. 14. Maybe you think you can never find something to use your skills and mindset for. But if you continue investing in what matters to you, it will find its way out there. 15. I allow you to think globally. You have a right to the boldest dream.
If I could add one - there exists a time in the future where you’ve already written this paper/completed this project. So you must know what you want to write. You just need to close that gap.
I like this one ⬆️

How to Handle Stress
Your school or college years are probably one of the most stressful times of your life: combining all of your assignments and readings with an utmost lack of time and a sense of constant underachieving is enough to driving you mad.
Although it isn’t easy, it’s possible to manage your stress levels to get the most out of your academic life while keeping you from going completely nuts. These are a few of my tips to lower your stress to a minimum and enjoy the experience:
1. Break big tasks into smaller ones – Normally, when you think about that BIG exam that’s coming up, all you can remember is that chunk of readings that you haven’t tapped into yet, or the endless number of articles that you’ve been avoiding the entire semester. The best way to make sure that you can cover all of that information is to break down a huge exam into chapters you need to study, exercises you need to solve or articles you need to read and writing every one of those items in your planner or calendar. Every small achievement is a step closer to your ultimate goal, which is to be prepared for that exam – by focusing on smaller tasks, you organize your time a whole lot better, while making sure that it’s possible to study all of those pages.
2. Fake your deadlines – one of the best tricks in my book is to fake my deadlines. If a professor schedules an essay at the beginning of the semester for the 20th of November, write in your planner instead that the deadline is November 17th. You’ll organize your task ahead of time and if something ultimately happens and you fail your deadline, you’ll find out that you are still three days ahead.
3. Make a study guide – When I have four exams in the same week I find it hard to balance all the work that I need to for each subject without forgetting any of the others. That’s why I like to make a calendar with the time that I have available to study for those exams and writing for each day the chapter/topic that I need to study for each subject. I move my work load around my calendar if I’m going to have a busy week or a weekend where I won’t be available to study. The trick is to fit all of the material for your tested subjects into that small calendar and follow it precisely until the day arrives.
4. Start ahead of time and remain one week ahead – This is that kind of big trick that can save your whole semester. If you keep one week ahead of time, preparing your classes in advance and keeping all of your assignments done 7 days ahead of their deadlines, it will have a HUGE impact down the road. You will always be ahead of the game and if something happens during the semester, you have 7 days to pick up where you left, without ever falling behind.
5. Dedicate your time to the information that you didn’t understand. One of the things that stresses me out the most is to think that there’s something that I learned in a class that can’t quite grasp.
That drives me nuts. I just keep thinking about it but I never have the courage to dive into it, being afraid of thinking that it will be COMPLETELY impossible to understand. That’s why I like to dedicate a few hours solely to topics/subjects that I can’t understand. I will read those slowly, annotate any questions, read other books on the topic and mainly I’ll do my best to understand them comprehensively, without switching my time between other tasks. You know what’s funny? Normally those are the subjects that I end up mastering by the end of the semester. Effort always pays off.
