Little things

Sneakers hitting the blacktop, a sound so familiar to her ears yet during a game it wa so much more intense. Michiru was a frequent player of B-Ball, the game was so much fun, to her one of the bestways to spend her free time was practicing for her team. Though she also enjoyed playing on her phone, though she more used that for times when she alone or couldn’t sleep. Michiru had been visiting the local blacktop to shoot some hoops when a random group had come in saying they owned the place. Michiru had ignored them at first until they started yelling at her, to which Michiru just kind of laughed at their reaction eventually ending up in a one on one match to see who owned the blacktop.

A drawn out basketball match which Michiru hardly ended up with with a 6-5 score, she was definitely improving but she still needed more practice on her solo game. Holding the ball in she smiled to the group and held the ball above her head and declared, “The blacktop is public property and belongs to no group!” Which eventually led to a few insults being thrown at her and the closing in of said angry group...of course they wouldn’t hold up to the deal, sore losers. Soon finding herself with back pressed to the chain link fence walling off the court mostly to keep stray basketballs off the street with some angry shady looking guys closing in on her. Of course she invited trouble! This is what she gets for being nice...

Roomies

Carrying her bag by her side Michiru was trying to keep her nerve, not only was she thrown into a new town, but she even managed to get enrolled into a college really fast! But even with all of this the most nervous thing she was worried about was that she had a roommate! Michiru was, presumably, an only child and the only experience she had was the small sleepovers with Nazuna, she didn’t know what to expect! Yet as she worried and thought she soon found herself standing at the front of the door with a bit of a shaking in her hand. Reaching her hand for the door she gripped the knob and slowly turned and opened the door.

Only to find the room devoid of the one she was supposed to call her roommate. Looking around the room there was definitely supposed to be someone living here, Michiru could see the books of varying courses lined in a shelf. Slowly walking in and checking the room carefully to make sure someone wasn’t pranking her. And there was no one. Michiru re-checked the room number, yeah she was at the right room maybe they just weren’t here yet? Michiru sighed softly even nerves can get to her when she is thrown into something without prior notice. Moving her things to the spare bed Michiru began to unpack, storing most of her things away besides her basketball which had been held in a black bag until she got here. Deciding to take yet another look around the room she decided to spin the ball on her finger tip, biding her time...they would show up soon right? What if it was her? No...she would know if it was Nazuna.

Sneakers running in the grass filled her ears as Michiru ran through the open field. Fields like this was rare to Michiru her home didn’t have many places like this, sure it had forests but an open field, nope not many of those. Though soon as rare as the field was it got rather boring out here with no one to really talk to or run with. Normally Nazuna would have accompanied her to a place like this to hang out, but the chances of her actually showing up would be rather slim if at all. Though with all her wondering Michiru soon found herself in this field of grass with the night sky over her, yet another rare sight to her with how the city lights would blur out the sky most times. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she looked around for something as a landmark, but her eye caught something...different.

A girl...with pink hair. Though pink wasn’t the exact color it was enough to get her mind racing with the memories of her friend soon finding herself walking towards the girl. “Um hey there!” Muchiru would shout as she approached the girl from afar making she to wave her arm in greeting trying to seem friendly. She stopped quiet a few feet away from the girl, a big goofy smile on her face, yep she had never seen this girl before. “Hi, I’m Michiru, it’s nice to meet you!” Michiru said without even asking why the girl was out here, for all Michiru knew she could be lost...or a criminal.

Heroism

Of all the times for her shapeshifting to act up it had to be now didn’t it? After coming here she mostly had been able to hold her human form more than usual. However at this moment Michiru was running after someone in her beastman form helpless to change back and with bigger things to worry about. Michiru had been normally going on her path when she heard a scream about a pickpocket and with memories flooding back to mind she jumped into action. Sprinting along as fast as she could without wasting her one transformation she pursued said thief.

Knowing that the thief knew about her allowed her to try and corner the thief, but what she hadn’t expected was for her partner to not show up. Normally when it came to something like this the larger wolf show up and take out the baddies, but now here Michiru was. Here she was having the thief cornered with no idea what to do and knife brandished in her direction. Glorious Michiru, glorious, wanting to speak and be cool she knew she needed to try and do something and all she could think to do was use her shapeshifting. But did she have it in her to actually hurt another human? She didn’t have much time to think.

A human turned Beastman- Tanuki, from BNA or Brand New Animal, an anime a friend showed me and is on it’s way to be one of my favorites. I might as well use this post to the most of my effectiveness.
