they're so gay! And their ship name is literally Buddie. What more can you ask. Raising a kid together, eating food together, having each other's backs at work and at home. Literally having sleepover, and SHARING A BED. gay. 

you've probably heard a lot about them already but buck literally co-parents eddie's son, christopher, and eddie put him in his will to take care of chris in case he dies (eddie has lots of family), after knowing him for like a year and a half. oh and eddie only told buck A YEAR LATER because buck thought he was expendable. who fucking does that??? they are incredibly family shaped and they make me so feral. oh eddie has a girlfriend for a bit and when someone mistakes her for christopher's mom, he has a legit panic attack and his doctor his like "that coule be repression" when eddie says he doesn't panic 🫠 anyway yeah. they

So, they met in season 2, right after Buck's first long-term girlfriend Abby left him. Buck spends the entirety of Eddie's intro (to the song Watta Man, iconic) gawking at him shirtless. They feud for less than a day before they are the best of friends. They do everything together, even raising Chris, Eddie's son. Every time the writers try to give either one of them girlfriends, their "friend" hates the new girlfriend for disrupting their lives. The have keys to each other's houses, and just let themselves in. At like 2 months into knowing each other Eddie hosts a party, and Maddie (Bucks sister) is telling Buck that when you are a guest it's polite to bring something,  and Buck says "this is Eddie's house, I'm not really a guest". ALSO when Buck recruits Chim(another coworker) and Eddie to help home get Maddie moved in to her new house, when chim and Eddie are in the kitchen Maddie says "he's cute" then Buck says "if you think he's cute, just wait until you meet his kid" then Maddie says, "wait, chimney has a kid?" And Buck is BAFFLED that she meant chim, because he couldn't fathom not falling in love with Eddie on sight. Boy was down bad, and the next 5 seasons Maddie keeps teasing Buck about his "boy crush" on Eddie. A year into their friendship Eddie gets buried alive when a well collapses that they were rescuing a kid out of, and as soon as Eddie disappeared under the mud Buck is screaming him name, dropping to his knees, and trying to dig him out of 40 feet of mud with his bare hands. That's when Eddie changes his will so that Buck gets custody of Chris if Eddie dies. Also, Buck has this thing where he talks about making food for the people he lives, and in the same episode he apparently tries 3 times to perfect a cheesy casserole dish his captain(basically his dad) Bobby makes for Eddie and Chris, and offers his girlfriend frozen waffles. When Buck is recovering from getting struck by lightning and feeling uncomfortable on his couch (it's a metaphor, don't ask) (long story short he was talking about all his couches coming with girlfriends and not wanting to pick the wrong couch again, it's a whole metaphor thing, and then when buck's actual parents come to visit, ugh, they buy him a couch, and he hates i)t, and goes straight over to Eddie's and sleeps on his couch instead. It's adorable. They also have the most ridiculous heart eyes, and after spending all their time together during work, they also help Chris with his homework, talk through his schooling, take family trips to the zoo, go grocery shopping,  share laundry, play games, etc. "You can have my back any day" "or, you know, you can have mine." On day 2!
