do they know about ylfa? do they know what she became? do they know that the wolf did not eat her, but that she ate the wolf? do they know that she walked her grandmother's past to a wooden door? do they know she gave up her name so that people might someday be able to write their own stories?

My darling Seawing, Deep Trench aka Deep! I’m begging yall not to make a Boys joke I’ve heard it all. Anyways! They are from several decades before Albatross’s time, when Animus dragons were starting to become more well known and utilized in dragon culture. Rest below the cut!

Deep actually started the base idea for the Talons of Peace but was actually more like Arc 2 School than anything. Basically it was a “we are stronger together than apart” and they began a small town where dragons could come to learn about peace, trade, converse, and be educated on other tribes! They themselves were a teacher, and their brother was a mapmaker/recruiter for this, which was called the City of Many Wings.

They ended up harboring a Sandwing Animus named Prairie who was raised without really knowing what Animus powers were, and a Skywing/Mudwing hybrid named Rust who was running from his queen. The Skywings had already proclaimed peace treaties on Many Wings so they couldn’t infiltrate it. They instead hired two Icewing assassins to bring Rust back, by any means necessary. Icewings, who already didn’t LIKE the idea of Many Wings at all, graciously accepted because the Skywing Queen agreed to be their ally in war for the next two hundred years upon completion of the assassination.

ANYWAYS, Many Wings is infiltrated, and Deep runs to hide their brother, Prairie, and Rust, inadvertently leaving their students hiding in the learning cave with Deep’s assistant teacher, a Mudwing named Chestnut. They return to help their class to find them all frozen solid by the Icewing assassins, all but one dragonet, a Nightwing named Pageturner.

Deep takes Pageturner and they escape, but not before their brother sacrifices himself and dies getting them to safety. Many Wings is then wiped from the map and from history, but the idea is passed down generation after generation, until it reaches a certain Seawing who gets the idea for the Talons of Peace.
