Nothing like spending two days in the hospital. Hopefully will be able to go back to normal tomorrow. Thank yâall for for yâallâs patience.
Iâve already hit 30 followers? Ah, Iâm so happy. I really enjoy writing Rakan, and itâs been a long time since I had this much fun with a character.
goldenwingedcharisma:
The dancer quickly leaned forward as his partner turned to face him, planting his lips onto her forehead where her hand had been previous. Rakan lingered there for a moment before withdrawing.
âIâm only a flirt when thereâs a beautiful creature before me - and lo and behold! There you are!â He had rather take his Xayah furious than worried - worry was the one thing he could never fix, but he could try to lighten the mood.
Xayah closed her eyes for a brief second - For just as long as he held his lips against her forehead. There was a soft hum, then she raised her glance up at him. The expression soon turned into a smile. Of course. He would always take the time to boost her ego if there was one way. Like it wasnât a lot already.
â Aww, better be that way. I would not like to find out you are this good to other women too. â Wouldnât be pleasant for other women.â  The harpy told, a long finger and fingernail tapping against his chest. She would kill whoever touched her Rakan - Even though often when they were around other people - Them usually drooling all over her boyfriend Xayah made sure that they knew and understood the rules. Nothing to the hands. Barely anything to the eyes, even.
Rakan laughed, pleased with himself for steering his love away from her earlier worry. Plus, he did enjoy Xayahâs possessiveness - perhaps a bit too much, but that didnât matter to him.
âAs if anyone could come close to you. No one ever could.â He spoke the last part softly, almost in reassurance. The dancer then grinned. âSo we got in, caused some havoc, and got out. Relatively close to plan. Do I get rewarded?â Rakan wiggled his eyebrows, obviously being a goof.
"You have chicken legs," she deduced, quite surprised.
âC-Chicken legs?!â The usually composed charmer stuttered, horror that was only slightly exaggerated marring his features. âHow can to even compare this fine ass specimen of legs to chicken legs?â
sweatered-mermaid:
Nami nodded, her grin growing in size. What a kind gentleman! And so she laid back slightly, her outstretched arms spporting her weight, water freely flowing around her.
Nami watched and marvelled as she followed the manâs strange yet elegant movements. He moved with a grace that she thought rare amongst landwalkers. This one, however was not just like any other. And she knew that.
As his dance stretched more and more to its end, Nami could only clap, gently encouraging him. Her smile was still there and she found that she too had started flopping her tail accordingly to his movements.
Encouraging was not something Rakan needed, but it differently helped. He began backflipping and twisting in the air, making each move grander than the last. When he did finish, he bowed, obviously pleased with himself.
âHow was that?â His voice did little to conceal his own feelings of accomplishment, but he was a gentleman and valued his audienceâs opinion. âJudging by your own tail, I think I did just fine.â
Nami rose to her full height again and beamed. âI think that was wonderful! You truly moved beautifully. I am much more impressed than I thought I would be.â She paused. âThat came out wrong.â
Rakan could only burst out into laughter. âI would say so! But I do that sorta thing all the time, it kinda drives people up the floor.â He paused for a minute, thinking. âOr is it something else? Whatever that weird human expression is. I am glad to impress you, however.â He gave a dramatic bow, grinning playfully.
âHmmm?â She hummed calmy as a individual suddenly leap in front of her. Blocking the path she walk upon currently, she was about to climb to the Mountain tillâŠthis man appeared.
âI willâŠaccept your compliments. However itâs not usual to find someone to jump in front of my way and say their opinion to one individual.â
âWhy not? How else are you suppose to do so?â Rakanâs head tilted, honest and genuine curiosity on his features. âSo why are you shiny? Wouldnât that be distracting to everyone?â
He then looked over his shoulder at the Mountain. âWere you about to climb that? Doesnât seem all that great for you humans.â
âWell. I am not really âhumanâ well my body is but I more than a Mortal. I am a Aspect. The Aspect of the Moon known as DianaâŠwhich is me. That is the reason my glowing features.â She explained, a chuckle escape her lips as she gaze at the otherâs appearance. Curious to see him a manâŠwith legs of a bird? Weird. âAnd you. Why you have bird legs? And one wing?â She added.
âYou see. That Mountain is know as Mount Targon. My once Home before I was exiled and dishonored me to a Heretic.â
Rakan listened the best he could, already drifting off as she continued speaking, but was drawn back in by the mention of his appearance. âI am Rakan. The Vastayan dancer?â He blinked, frowning. What was it with people not knowing who he was?
He looked up at the mountain again. âHuh. Humans do indeed love punishing that which is not like them.â He mused quietly, more for himself than Diana.
âRakan. Pleasure to meet you.â She replied, a bow before the Phoenix. A smile curled on her lips as she straighten her posture from the bow. She still needed to question why he has bird like legs till she realize he is a VastayaâŠknown to possessed at least a animal feature, appearance.
âYes they doâŠreally do. For the âgreater goodâ bullshit. Mortals have little sense of Justice and Judgement. Sometimes, even adults do not know what is right or wrong.â
âHumans are selfish,â Rakan immediately shot out. âIf there are no immediate consequences, they donât think about what harm they do. They just keep ... building things.â His lip curled into something akin of a snarl.
His thought process quickly switched. âSo, if you were kicked off the mountain, why are you going back?â
goldenwingedcharisma
His mouth was already open and primed with at the very least a thousand reasons on how just going in with no plan could work, but Rakan promptly closed it at the mention of chocolate. He had been a fan the second Xayah had him try some. âAh, beautiful, deadly, and gracious. Alright, plan it is!â
He paused for a moment, twirling his fingers about as he began to speak again. âSoooo, you do something and then I do something so you can do something else and then ⊠we go get chocolate?â Rakan had no idea what they were doing. He never did.
Xayah knew she had reeled him in now, hook line and sinker. Rakan just loved chocolate and Xayah will use whatever she can to get him to listen to a plan. Also watching him devour the sweet treat was always a show, he would always get some stuck in his in ears, or on his cheek. She swears he does it on purpose so that she can clean it off of him, so of course she always does it teasingly.Â
Now that she had his attention, she could finally tell him the plan thoroughly. She did give him a look at his smartass comment about them just doing things and then getting chocolate. âIn theory, but specifically not just a something. I am going to sneak aboard a wagon. I need you to follow it to get me out of there without them know I was ever on board. So when I give you the signal you need to distract the driver as best as possible so I can sneak out alright?â He was always the perfect distractionâŠ.this over flamboyant peacock. Â
Rakan nodded eagerly as she spoke, trying his best to focus on the words coming out of her mouth and not what that mouth could do when chocolate was involved.
âWagon, got it. I follow it, got it. I do what I do best and you sneak out, got it.â He flashed a grin, quite pleased with himself for listening as well as he did. Yes, that sweet chocolate and Xayahâs attention was as good as his.
What is the cutest headcanon you have for my muse?
Bonus if you have one for our muses
Iâm gonna try working on a headcannon page today. Iâd like to try and be more active, but it is hard only being able to come one once a day. Thanks to everyone for their patience!
âHow about this, love? We go in with no plan, we wing it, and we come out unscathed and unweighted down by said plan? Thatâs good, right?â Rakan gave his best convincing grin, having already forgotten the plan before Xayah had even finished.
@vastayanrebel
Xayah stared at him and then raised an eyebrow. Heâs so lucky heâs cute. âAnd how do you suppose that is going to work? If anything I think it is more likely that we are going to get scathed if we wing it.â She loves this man, but sometimes he just says the stupidest things. âHow about we stick to the planâŠâŠâ She might need to bargain with him here. âand then we can get some of that human chocolate?âÂ

It wasnât often Rakan was still and quiet, but now was one of those rare times. He was sat under a tree, head tilted back and ears twitching in some sort of rhythm.

Seryn hadnât yet noticed the Vastaya, instead going about his usual tromp through Ioniaâs vast and inherently magical forests. He was still a stranger to these lands in many ways, understanding the magic of the land has not been easy. Still, the magic within the various plants and herbs he gathered did strengthen the potions he made. He could appreciate that. It just made them a bit hazardous to work with considering he wasnât very magical at all.
The dancerâs ears twitched again, a slight frown marring his features. He could hear someone moving through the forest, and close. Was it another person who intended to harm?
He slowly rose, scanning the area until his eyes fell on someone. Rakan wasted no time in making his way to the strangerâs side, but in the short time it took to get there, he had already forgotten why he was there.
âHow do you keep your hair that long? And white?â
Seryn jumped, looking to the Vastayan with wide, startled eyes. Where did he come from? And what kind of question was that??? It was all so⊠random. He cleared his throat, fingers lacing through the hair in question. âMy hair is naturally white, I donât do anything to keep it that way. As for the lengthâŠ. Well I just havenât cut it in nine years⊠I treat it so itâs strong and doesnât break too easily.â
âHuh,â was all the Vastayan said as he tilted his head, eyes squinting in a childlike manner. âMost humans donât have white hair until theyâre old. I mean, you donât look that old, but I guess you could be.â
The original reason for Rakanâs intrusion was in the back of his mind - the very back. He was much too perplexed with the mystery of this manâs hair now. âHm, actually, Freljordâs people have white hair. Is that where youâre from?â
âHmmm?â She hummed calmy as a individual suddenly leap in front of her. Blocking the path she walk upon currently, she was about to climb to the Mountain tillâŠthis man appeared.

A smile pulled on the harpyâs lips when her partner spoke up, rollin her eyes playfully as she wiped her forehead, brushing her hair out of her eye.
â Youâre such a flirt. â Is this how youâre making up for not keeping yourself to the plan again?â  She asked. Not that there was a problem with the first part of that, rather the second. Xayah was often worried that Rakan not remembering the plan and doing something entirely different would get them in trouble one time - God save them from taking oneâs life in the process out of the pair.Â
Xayah then turned entirely towards her lover, sighing.
â I am not mad â Just worried, alright? One day this is going to turn on us. One day that my â Our guard falls.â
The dancer quickly leaned forward as his partner turned to face him, planting his lips onto her forehead where her hand had been previous. Rakan lingered there for a moment before withdrawing.
