This is about the conflicting and chaotic mix of emotions we deal w/ in aftermath of a breakup. Wanting things to go back to a way they never were, alternating senses of betrayal/guilt, pain/empowerment, visceral emotions and vulnerability/dissociation.

-the playlist runs the gamut from Natalie Storm remix thats been stuck in my head for weeks, to Deary Pussy which has now become a daily utterance walking around my apartment. Ding Dong nailed Dancehall/hardstyle ever since Badman Forward when I was in high school (Ricky Blaze prodxn, so no surprise there). and Tygapaw does it right!  If u haven’t heard the Beniton remix of Rihanna’s Work now is a good time. L-spiz throws in a Jersey club remix of Mavado. And i threw in a De Tropix gem from yearssss ago. Guru, of azonto hit ‘alkayida’ fame (shouts out to my man Victor. we ran back into the club in DC more than once when DJ Underdog, my fav dc dj, would throw it on). Dig in and enjoy.
