Look what we found! (Actually, we never really lost it in the first place, but these pics are very old. Old as ...well let’s just say OLD).
These are concept design we did for biomes in the game, while we were still searching for the right art vision.
Kinda really really cartoony 2D - to tell the truth, we do really like this art direction, as well. But, we kinda knew that it would be pain in the bottom for us, probably even unattainable in the long run, so we found a compromise and really happy with it.
And you can see here, that we’ve been stuck with cel-shading from the beginning. Yep, guilty and proud.

Meet Olive Thorne, our second main character.
Young knight, talanted young blacksmith and true lady(!).
Smart, a bit arrogant and naïve, she wants to appear stricter than she is and tries to do everything by the “codex” of the Knights. So don’t mess with her!

hello, circular saw, old friend
This is the character design development of one of our playable characters, Gromov, by very very talented bladmoran. You can check her cool art via her tumblr or deviantart.
Gromov is the somewhat brash 20 year old male character in the game. Daring, and sarcastic fella. While he’s sometimes a bit grumpy he has a “golden heart”. He is our precious cinnamon roll too..oh well, you know the rest. And he HAS VERY COOL ROBOTIC ARM! Gromov finds himself in this brave new world after a plane he was piloting crashed. While he appears to be a pilot from 40-50s (Mid-20th Century), the circumstance for his crash are not clear (SPOILERS!) He wakes up in the middle of the plane wreckage somewhere in a mysterious forest, inhabited by huge creatures and waaay too huge monsters unfamiliar to him. Soon (if you want to survive you have to think fast, you know) he comes with totally reasonable idea, that in order to survive he must DO something, or, you know, CRAFT something (he is mechanic, after all). So he decides to BUILD HUGE ROBOTS TO PUNCH MONSTERS IN THE FACE OBVIOUSLY.
